Laurie and I have been in Vegas for the past two nights. I am afraid Comrade Obama is going to be re-elected after looking at the sea of fat, needy people occupying this place. I fundamentally don't understand how Americans have forgotten what it means to be an American. Ronald Reagan was right in that it only takes one generation. The end of the Weimar Republic is at hand so I guess we will see y'all on the other side.

Pwnzor, we might need the keys to the Georgia bunker when the Urban Assault Vehicle requires repositioning. Intelligence tells us that Gess is a mole deep in the Wisconsin underground working to spread the message of Erik Galt to the faithful.

Who is Erik Galt?

Bump for Zero.

Keeping the powder dry until the probable Romney/Zero blood match begins. Nice that Zero took TWO jumbo jets to Hawaii. I don't think Michelle likes her hubby.

He still stinks. The "insiders" with whom he is co-conspiring against us in his crimino-genic miscarriages of justice and aborting of the traditional American way will keep taking for themselves while offering us nothing. One lost decade due to Bush's accommodation of the insiders followed by a second as Obama takes his hatred out on us through economic retaliation. We, as the "outsiders" have to learn how to turn time into an ally instead of an enemy.

Speaking only for myself, I've written out specific strategies that use this depression to boost innovation with the intention not only of R&Ding ideas that will be viable when the economy resets, but investments that will pay off for my family in the long haul.

The government makes new rules. They rig the game. We have to find ways to operate outside these rules. Not illegally, mind you, just taking a unjaundiced view at many options for a game that fits our requirements and reduces obligations.

Half the people in the US have income from the government breast. That controls votes. Conflict abroad has been used to control votes. Odd, what, that we as a nation have not won a war since 1945 and half of that was by using the atomic bomb.

Now no nation uses anything but the appearance of nuclear capabilities to bargain and sabre rattle. Once the Iranians have the bomb, they'll use it just for sh*ts and grins because they are nuts. Same with the new North Korean oligarchy, a collection of sketchy reds who may feel the need to make a statement as I type.

Sadly, Obama's loathing for most of our population assures he is a student and practitioner of disproven ideologies on the radical left. He'll want the enemy to win for the sake of being right about his belief system.

Based on Barry's missing his "Body Man" who carried his toothbrush, and other necessities, that book about him being Bi gains credibility. If so, Michelle may NOT like her "hubby". Last time we had a beard in the White House was... W.H. Harrison? Or was that Bill Clinton?

Seriously, I agree with Maxnix on the danger of Iran. Once they do use the Bomb, the smoldering remnants of the region will not be pumping oil as fast as today. ( with their wealth and the Pakistan, China, and Russia aid, I'd have built a device years ago. Since I can assume that guys with phd's from English and American colleges are on the job, and we are years past the guesses for when Iran would have a nuke, I assume they already have a few. Truck deliverable, certainly, maybe not missile size, yet. )

N. Korea seems to be in a transition period, where the Obama "considered restraint" is getting high marks.

From the people who not too long ago were not at all worried about the Soviet threat ( hundreds of millions murdered ) or the utopian European experiment in fascism. ( demolished a continent, Did a pretty good job of multiple genocide, and ruined Eugenics as a discussion topic for American Intellectuals. )

Then again Obama gets high marks for doubling the price of gas, unemployment, national debt, and keeping a recession going long past the 18 months the "experts" predicted it would be over. ( and probably would have been without Obama's policies. )

Toss in the unadulterated glee at having no limits on spending at all with no budget for over a thousand days and you have quite a success story. According to the guys who got leg tingles just listening to Barry. Which, come to think of it brings us back to the opening paragraph of my rant today.

Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Pleasant Ramadan. Happy Hanukkah, Happy Solstice. Rocking Saturnalia. Screw Kwanza.

Yeh, there's something a bit "Pashtun man-boy love" about Barry and body man Love that always leaves that certain amount of doubt about how our prez was treated back in his muslim days of childhood.

Michelle is like a welfare mom with a government credit card when it comes to spending public funds on whatever her "whim of the moment" demands. I lived in remote villages in the Alaskan bush where everyone was on the dole for most of the year. Government money wasn't "real" money, like what a job earned, or the pipeline or summer fire fighting season. The free money was tossed away on crap and booze, the earned money on firearms, snomobiles, boats and motors. The stuff that supported life. Michelle is just a lowbrow caricature of a first lady who has no respect for free government money wasted in gobs on all the temporary crap she wants to experience. No class. Worst first lady since Hillary.

To get re-elected, B. Hussein O. depends on the illiterate morons on the public breast, plus the literate morons who drink the Marxist cool-aid. That's a lot of voters. Keep the stupid down, but with the mythical hope just around the corner; keep the progressives believing in Santa Claus at the voting booth. His narcissistic self thinks he is a shoe-in.

But, between cigarettes and longing for his body man, out in public eating junk food with both hands while the first lady browbeats the commoners with instructions on how to maintain a healthy diet, and out on the golf course for 7 hours so he doesn't have that donk nag on his case, our Barry knows very well that he is totally incompetent. Getting re-elected won't make him any less incompetent.

Enough of the Bushes and their New World DisOrder. They are oily people of the mega oil business and have done enough damage to our economy.

The "Seven Sisters" was a term coined in the 1950s by businessman Enrico Mattei, then-head of the Italian state oil company Eni, to describe the seven oil companies which formed the "Consortium for Iran" and dominated the global petroleum industry from the mid-1940s to the 1970s.
In 1973 the members of the Seven Sisters controlled 85% of the world's petroleum reserves:
Anglo-Persian Oil Company This subsequently became Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and then British Petroleum. Following the acquisition of Amoco (which in turn was formerly Standard Oil of Indiana) and Atlantic Richfield it shortened its name to BP in 2000.
Gulf Oil (United States) A network of service stations in the northeastern United States still bears the Gulf name.
Royal Dutch Shell (Netherlands/United Kingdom)
Standard Oil of California ("Socal") (United States) This subsequently became Chevron.
Standard Oil of New Jersey (Esso) (United States) This subsequently became Exxon, which renamed itself ExxonMobil following the acquisition of Mobil in 1999.
Standard Oil Co. of New York ("Socony") (United States) This subsequently became Mobil, which was acquired by Exxon in 1999.
Texaco (United States). This was acquired by Chevron in 2001.

There is a new 7 Sisters, a group of the most influential national oil and gas companies based in countries outside of the traditional OECD:
China National Petroleum Corporation (China)
Gazprom (Russia)
National Iranian Oil Company (Iran)
Petrobras (Brazil)
PDVSA (Venezuela)
Petronas (Malaysia)
Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia)

The Bushes are "insiders" and go where the money is. Not bad if they invite me to the party. They don't. The oil business is now in the hands of people outside the US because our politicians let it happen. I remember what happened when the Cubans hit the ground in Angola as Soviet fronts for taking over the oil in Cabinda, while Geo. H.W. Bush the . Hell and starvation. It's never recovered. George H.W. was probably buying oil futures while Angola fell apart.

Obama will never be invited to the big table, either. However, he schills for the biggies on Wall Street and in the oil trades and etc., because he wants their financial support, all the while complaining about how unfair they are to his little illiterate morons and progressives with huge student loans they'll never earn enough to pay off. Gee, did they think a diploma ending in the word "studies" would pay the freight in an economically rocky job environment?

Nah, I can't accept another Bush in the driver's seat. I like oil, but not the politics of this Texas oil family on the world stage.

Marco Rubio for VP, tho!

Hi Mox,

At best on Badweb, one can only try to show that President Obama is a suboptimal candidate in 2012. There are a few here who are really grappling with their core beliefs that are no longer working. Obama sounds and feels good to some but they are now not so sure. Demonizing Obama (which I have done on multiple occasions) only pushes them back to where they feel comfortable in supporting the absolutely wrong candidate. Though far from perfect, it will be far preferable to have a President who at least understands business over the present guy who is fundamentally in over his head. That guy looks more and more like Romney every passing day. Lets try and work together to show that Obama is not the right candidate in 2012 over demonization.

(Although I fully concur. : ) )

"Texaco (United States). This was acquired by Chevron in 2001."

Correction - Chevron and Texaco merged into ChevronTexaco about the same time Conoco and Phillips merged into ConocoPhillips. Remember, in 2001 oil was less expensive than the out of ground cost in the US, and US oil companies were losing their shirts. This prevented them from going belly up. The Texaco name was dropped several years later, and it is now Chevron Corp. Interestingly enough, COP just split into two companies, ConocoPhillips (upstream) and Phillips66 (downstream).

OK, carry on with the oil company bashing.

Also, Gulf Oil was more than a network of service station, it was a huge company. It merged with Standard Oil and eventually became Chevron.

I love oil companies. No, really. Any natural resource companies producing what feeds an economy are okay with me. I prefer the well managed ones most.

On demonizing Obama, it is my habit, if not my nature, to cast a jaundiced eye toward most all politicians, news organizations and the minions attached to both. Like a 10 year old calling names in the school yard. Some one has to make fun of them.

The jobs will come back, if people can get by without the good pay and benefits everyone expected over the last 5 decades.

My list of the original 7 Sisters being western companies versus the new 7 Sisters being non-western is not a slam on oil, but to show how far we have fallen in our ability to operate in strength in a global environment when the money is made in mergers and acquisitions or reducing labor costs to raise stock prices rather than pumping crude. Our tanker fleets no longer rule the seas, what with monkey flag merchant ships spending far less in labor costs and ignoring safety rules outside to reach of Coast Guard standards.

I agree on experience.

From a story linked on Drudge--

http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2011/12/30/4m-vac ation-michelle-seeks-3-backers/

"The obscene juxtaposition of the first lady on a $4 million vacation while asking what would have to be middle to low income earners for three bucks – who else would they be targeting with such an appeal? – is yet another example of lack of perspective the Obamas seem to be gaining while in power.

Mrs. Obama takes extravagant vacations to Spain and southern Africa. The president golfs obsessively and is currently dining at Honolulu’s ritziest restaurants. All while asking their fellow Americans to “sacrifice” during this time of not plenty."

I wonder when Obama will start wearing brightly decorated uniforms with shoulder boards. Tin pot dictators with no concept of the difference between money and class.

Based on my above scurrilous and uncalled for comment, Barry has much too much style to wear shoulder boards. He's more the Armani type. Think Will and Grace.

Let's be fair, the Prez and his crew has to go first class with heavy security. If he ate at McDonalds in Maui instead of the most expensive eatery, the difference would be insignificant after you pay for the antiaircraft missiles and sniper teams. ( and they are the cheap part ) It's not like Barry or Michelle can hop in a cab to get to the rented mansion from the airport. They HAVE to ride in an armored car. The house HAS to be checked and guarded before and all the time during the visit. That's big bucks.

I don't even mind him going to Hawaii for vacation. I admit to some envy, since I haven't seen fit to sacrifice in other areas to go there myself, but only envy because I doubt he even thinks of the expense. His sacrifice is ongoing, with the lack of privacy and the constant harping of the bitter rednecks in flyover country he has zero respect for anyway.

To pathetic me, it looks like massive arrogance. ( and to be fair, I feel the same way about a lot of people that we hire to work for us that assume they are not only our masters, but Gods among mice. )

In contrast, I guy I also disagreed with on many subjects...
The Last President used to go to his home in Texas and cut brush for a vacation. ( The home with so many eco-friendly features, heating, cooling, rainwater storage, etc. that it makes Al Gore's pad look like a third world refinery & Aluminum plant in "footprint" and energy use. ) He often schmoozed with Congressmen at Camp David ( easy and cheap to guard ) to get legislation passed. I often didn't like the legislation, but there was far less "my way or the highway" attitude from GWB...except on national security.

Just as useful is to complain about Michelle's Rib dinners and the forcing of Arugula on grade school kids.

http://michellemalkin.com/2011/12/21/michelle-obam as-unsavory-school-lunch-flop/

Simply, Under Obama, unemployment has risen, been lied about, and risen again, and been lied about again. ( when you "massage" the numbers to get better results, that's a lie )

Under Obama, More people are on food stamps than ever.
Under Obama, More people are in poverty than since the 1950s.
Under Obama, multiple former allies now no longer think us trustworthy. ( Poland, Georgia, Israel, Egypt.... )
Under Obama, they now say that 10%+ unemployment is the "new Normal" and that we can't expect our children to live better lives than we did.

That, I think says it all.

The "Another nail in the Constitution's coffin" thread is off to the archive, and I don't know if it can come back... so.... Here's the latest.

http://www.infowars.com/president-obamas-ndaa-sign ing-statement-i-have-the-power-to-detain-americans -but-i-wont/

To recap. It has been argued that this bill does NOT violate your constitutional rights, and allow American Citizens to be arrested, and held in military prison, perhaps in another country, for as long as someone in the administration wants.

With no trial, lawyer, or charges. Just kidnapped and thrown in a hole. Forever. ( Possibly while being tortured in a foreign country, a policy from the Clinton years that this admin embraces, quietly. )

Clearly the President believes he DOES have the power to put anyone he wants in jail, somewhere, forever, with no rights.
( He's NEVER liked the idea of limited power. )

But assures us he won't do so. Gee. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. He's been soooo trustworthy these last 3 years. ( sarcasm icon )

He also asserts quite plainly, that he feels no obligation to obey these laws he signs, and feels free to change or "interpret" them as he pleases. Gee.

So, what Obama asks Congress for, what they give him, and what he says, has no meaning. It's what he wants at the moment that counts, and Obama will spend as much money on whatever he wants, ( Which to me, seems mostly paying back people who bribe him ) or he will accuse the Republicans of murdering children and old folk until they allow a rise in the debt ceiling. Again. And Again.

Anyone else notice that the repeated "allowed rise in debt" never last to the date predicted? So It's "the R's want to kill you" time. Again.

I'd like to remind you that the Entire US Army after Clinton was smaller than the army Deployed for Desert Storm, and the freeing of Kuwait. History may not repeat...but it sure Rhymes.

No Budget passed by Obama's Congress. Period. So that means they can spend whatever they want, right? And while we're at it, all those pesky rules, laws, etc. If it interferes with what Barack wants, He'll just do an Executive Order. Just like his buddy Chavez. Or Kim.

Barack Hussein Obama has decided to rule as King. Screw Congress. ( yeah! )

I actually can understand being frustrated by Congress. I doubt there has ever been a President who didn't secretly ( and sometimes publicly ) want to arrest them all and rule as King. I suggest you view the footage of Saddam Hussein when he took over Iraq, sitting in the chamber, watching as the legislature was led out. Some to be shot, some to be handed a gun and ordered to shoot their fellow legislator. I don't see that happening here..... but neither did they.

Heck it's not like his admin had a program to sell guns to drug dealers to make the President's lies come true. Oh. Wait. That happened.

Well at least Obama hasn't made appointments of people to highly paid and powerful positions without approval from Congress. Oh. Wait. That happened.

Well at least his wife didn't have Federal workers come in at night and plant full grown vegetables in the White House garden so that children could pick them in a publicity stunt, repeatedly. Oh. .....never mind. That one isn't a crime, it's just silly. ( and true )
