I think the more appropriate statement to make is they're letting fans accessorize a Sportster. There doesn't seem to be much design involved... mostly picking out accessories from the chrome catalog. On the website there's 3 choices you simply vote. It's a popularity contest amongst competing chrome goodies. SHEESH...
