I just got done watching Cyclone on 'This' channel. Was hoping it was about Buells but it turned out to be some special weapon bike. If I hadn't been exercising I probably would have turned it off.
Where can I get this "Stone". It has a Norton in it, I MUST have it. I asked my sister to get it for me for Christmas and she says she can't find it. A little help?
Thanks, found it there myself. One I can't find at all is a 2011 film called "Fortress". It's about a B-17 mission. I know for a fact it is available in Britain but I can't find it anywhere here.
Not only that, but when I saw the trailer, I was sure that it had the same psycho who was The Toecutter in "Mad Max". Sure enough, it's the same guy. That dude should have a part in every biker movie.
My vote for the worst I have ever seen has to be "easy rider" with Fonda,Hopper and Nicholson. Freakin pathetic and whats worse a lot of the older generation love this flick. I just don't get it. I'm an old (45yrs old) stoner and I just can't watch it. It is way to boring.
Hmmm- Boliver, if that's your honest opinion, you're definitely in the minority.
I've always loved that film, and of course everyone has their own opinions- why should it be "worse" that others appreciate it?
My $.02: Up to that point in time, any "biker" films were "bikesploitation" flicks, IIRC it was Hollister and the irresponsible reporting in the print media that always portrayed bikers as bad society. Easy Rider was the first to attempt to take the ethos of a "biker" of that time more seriously. (I'd bet there's a Wiki entry, certainly many cinema studies done on this film...)
What "biker' movies do you like, if you don't like Easy Rider?
Yeah,I thought ER was wonderful when I saw it back in the day. I saw it recently, and it was just horrible! Especially the stoner scene in the park or whatever it was. OTOH, Blazing Saddles has worn exceptionally well, but that's another genre, to say the least.
Not exactly a "car" movie, pardon the drift (and the pun), but a GREAT movie was Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino". Also supposedly his last time in a starring role, highly recommended.
