Hello, there. I'm sad now. Last Tuseday, I bought this motorcyle jacke http://www.giftmadesimple.com/product/personalized -gift-ideas/6124/ for my girlfriend. You know she's learning motorcyle now. I want to give her a surprise, but she said it too ugly , she will not wear it at all. This style is very fashionable in my opinion, I feel it very cool. But...What do you think about it ? The link says buy now at Macy's??? You need your man card revoked for shopping at Macys for motorcycle apparell. LOL for the record though the link doesnt work on my work PC and I cant even see the jacket. If it doesnt have padding and armor in it then it really isnt very safe at all. Just my opinion.. it looks like a traditional leather jacket, cut for women. Anything that says 'motorcycle style'...is only for looks. Go to a motorcycle shop to get clothing for actual riding and safety. and I agree - if she doesn't like it, return it and give her nothing. If she finds something she likes, let her ask for it. | ||

On the other side of the coin: at least she is willing to TELL you she doesn't like it - rather than accepting it and just letting it hang in the closet for a decade before re-gifting or donating to charity. Agreed, from the little picture, it looks like a motorcycle styled piece - just for looks. A jacket like that isn't going to work ON a motorcycle and will do nothing for keeping her warm. Those jackets NEVER have much of a liner. Makes them stylish (without a liner, they don't look bulky) but they are impossible to use in any kind of cool weather. Go to CycleGear.com and have her pick out something she likes that actually will protect her and that looks good. I have jackets from Scorpion, Shift (now defunct, but you can still get some closeout items), and Vanson (that I got on closeout). Make it a project you both can enjoy. Go to a CycleGear shop and have her try them on. That jacket looks good for a night out, but it will do next to nothing for her if she crashes or you crash with her on the back. Good luck! | ||
