1971, I would have been a sophomore in HS. I remember it well.

I was lusting after a Norton 850 but couldn't even get a Hodaka.

Rode my 441 Victor from El Mirage in to the theater in Victorville with my buddy on his DT1 Yamaha. Loved the movie ever since.

What is funny is when watching it again, the kids on the bicycles in the opening scene are older than Jay Springsteen.
