So sorry to hear of your loss. From your stories on here she was very special. I am happy for you that you got to spend time with here before she passed. My next ride will have pegs down for her. God bless.
Hey Jerry, thanks so much for letting us get to know Ma, if only for a little while. There is nothing like a mom's love. Hope you can hug your sweetheart of a wife real soon. Luv ya!!!
I've been wanting to respond to this thread but as I am just an old broke down rider, a simple man, I don't have the proper words. Thank you so much for this thread and the first one too. They have touched my heart deeply. Please know that where she is now, there is no pain or suffering. May God grant you the strength and wisdom to remember her wonderful life and to ease your grief.
Thanks for your kind words of comfort. Mom was special. ALL moms are special, of course, but Mom was really special.
She lived a long, rich, full life, we had five months "notice" to celebrate her life and say our goodbyes, and she died peacefully and with family at her side. As Mitch Ware would say, "How cool is that?!?" We're sad, but we're joyful, too.
I had a chance to read through Mom's "scrapbook" at hospice, all the cards and letters and other cool items that people mailed to Mom while she was there.
Much (perhaps most) of this stuff is from BWB'ers, and some of you are peeps I've never even met, either in person OR online. I can't tell you how much it means to me and my family that y'all took the time to brighten Mom's final days like that.
Jerry, I'm truly sorry for your loss. Please extend my condolences to the entire "Ma Bueller" clan. I really wish I could have met her.. Prayers for you and your entire family.
My son Wade produced the following video tribute to his Grandma back in July. She was still "with it" enough then to watch it (with headphones - her hearing was not very good), and could tell you the names of everyone who appears in it (her family, including parents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren).
I've posted this link before, but I think it's fitting that I post it up again. The soundtrack begins at about 0:30.
Thank you, BadWeB.
Ride in peace, Mom.
