And I'm not a Hillary fan either, although I at least respect her as a professional. But I was absolutely shocked when I heard her "we came, we saw, he died". Because she had nothing to do with it (besides gloating), because she was gloating, because a person was dead (an evil nasty person for sure, but still a person), and because no good could come of being a smart mouthed victor. So I was offended by what was said, and suprised at her lack of professionalism. That article makes a similar point, but more effectively and clearly than I have articulated. It also nicely documents the double standard for "journalism" from the mainstream media. | ||

That was a good article. Hillary's comment was incredibly flippant considering her position as Secretary of State. Her's is a position where everything you say must be measured by how it will be seen by leaders of countries around the world. She makes toppling governments sound like a form of tourism. I wonder how other leaders are reacting to this comment? One thing the article barely touched upon is where does Libya go from here? What is the involvement from the US? The French? Other regional players? The easy part (the part that was supposed to take "days, not weeks) is over. Did we have a plan for the aftermath? Meanwhile, we are getting kicked out of Iraq. Afghanistan is threatening to side with Pakistan against the US. The new Egypt is killing Christians and burning their churches. Makes me wonder how long until we acknowledge that WW III is starting. | ||

How come university tuition rose more than 8% last year, when most prices rose only half as much? How come so few new jobs are created...in a society where so many intelligent, well-educated people are looking for work? How come health care costs go up year after year — like education expenses — at twice the rate of the CPI...and people are no healthier? How come the government now consumes more than $41 out of every $100 of national output...making it by far the largest allocator of capital in the world — when it is supposed to be a free enterprise system? How come the US government — which is supposed to be the best system that 300 million smart people can come up with — is actually morphing into a system that no sane person could possibly want? All those questions have the same answer. The whole system has been taken over by unproductive, parasitic tendencies manipulated by idiots in government and their clever counterparts in big business. | ||

" because it isn't, nor ever has been tied to inflation or CPI. It follows the actuarial mathmatical progression of the Underwriting rule of 7's & 10's. It has since the time they starting tracking insurance, healthcare and currency - 1921. And ANY one in INSURANCE KNOWS it. if you believe otherwise, you are lying about history, and led blind by propaganda. But cheer up- it all crashes with in 5 years of the 'Exchanges' being implemented. While I agree that a certain amount of executive privilege is vital, this admin takes in an lot of bribe money from people who then get lots of OUR money. Quid Pro Quo is very, very hard to prove, and not allowing us to know who met with Barack, then gave him a lot of money, and then got a grant/loan/kickback in return, makes it easier to conceal graft. So, let's see, they assert a right to lie to you and kill you from a secret list based on legal reasoning they won't tell you about. Does that cover it? | ||

It seems to be a long list of companies, many on Wall Street, as varied as McDonalds, Solyndra, and this experimental vaccine company. I think we should all have a keen awareness of how this administration ( more than most others in the last 2 centuries? ) does business. Bribe them, and you get a sweetheart deal on government loans, exemptions from the Obamacare Socialized medicine takeover, ( temporarily ) and freedom from obeying the laws when the Holder Civil Justice Dept decides not to enforce them. For themselves and you, since you donated so generously. Lets not forget the carefully never followed up on by the MSM rumors that the Car dealerships eliminated from the socialized Chrysler and GM had a history of donations .....shall we say, not of the current leadership's Party? While others in the same area that DID donate the "right thinking way" retained their businesses.. I'll skip for now the 26,000 people who lost their jobs in the Gulf alone when this Admin refused to allow drilling for oil. Or the millions hired to staff new government bureaucracies while millions more lost theirs due to bad regulations, a ruinous energy policy, and the simple fact that no one on the planet trusts Obama to be anything but a Statist ideologue who wants to make America a copy of oligarchic Eurozone Social Democracies. | ||
