Dear Friends and Family - It is with a surprisingly light heart that I send out this final update on Mel Johnson, aka Mom, Marilois, Mel, Auntie M, Grandma J and Ma Bueller, who passed peacefully in her sleep at Hospice of Kitsap County Care Center in Bremerton, Washington, USA on Thursday, October 27th, 2011 at 9:15 p.m. Pacific time. Doug, Sandy, Sis Sue and I were at Mom's bedside when she died. Mom was comfortable and peaceful at the end, thanks in large part to the staff here at the Care Center. We are gladdened and blessed by the fact that we - Mom's family, extended family and friends - had so many opportunities over the past several months to say goodbye to this very special woman. The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Hospice of Kitsap County for their love, compassion and care during Mom’s stay. Donations in Mom’s name can be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, www.hospicekc.org, 360-698-4611. Arrangements have been made through Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Bremerton, Washington.
