The US is probably getting ready for a revolution. Back in the Cold War days, the CIA was asked to do a portrait of a country that might have a revolution. It decided that such a country would have three characteristics: A big gap between rich and poor. A middle class that was disappearing...or one that never existed in the first place. A lot of people with a grudge. The US fits each of these criteria. And then some others the spooks hadn’t thought about. The U6 broad measure of unemployment is going up...with 16.5% of the population without work. There are 6.2 million people who have been looking for a job for more than 6 months. Americans are $7 trillion poorer, according to David Rosenberg, than they were 4 years ago — and property prices are still going down. Yes, there’s also a Great Correction in progress. It, along with the policies of the US government, grind the faces of the poor. Millions of marginally successful people think the system has failed them. Youth joblessness is at Great Depression levels. More than 45 million are on food stamps. People come to think what they must think when they must think it. So, a person who feels he has failed must come to terms with it. He must find a reason that gets himself off the hook. It must be someone else’s fault. And now we see the "tolerant" people camping out in a show of "intolerance." | ||

I really thought they were going to wait until 2016 to pull this type of shiate, but I think they see that their guy is not getting reelected and if Cain is running, they can't play the 'race' card they way they have in the past The new commissioned cadre doesnt do their first boot camp until March of next year - I am betting that it is a bigger class than originally called for. Remember - ARMED, 'health' corps, respondant only to the president in time of national 'emergency' think CIA advisors for proxy and you are very near their intended use. | ||

Moxnix, check my post history, I am headed off continent. I sold all my bikes, plussed up on ammo and guns, I am headed to Ukraine. A corrupt niche itself, but they have no love of liberalist socialism,and are all to ready to kill a terrorist. Their debt is not tied to the dollar or the Euro, but more directly to Russia and the oil. Life is actually better for me there, I get interviews, clients, and contracts - here everyone is so wonky with apoxia that there is no movement; plus with 14% unemployment - there is entirely too much competition ... if indeed you are not weeded out by TaleoX before you even get to phone call. My opportunities and personal future is better overseas. Lawn chair and vodka from the roof to watch it happen. It gets worse before this gets better - they still have the killing to do. Read Lenin "What is to be done" you know its on its way. | ||

Back to my original point... saying we should electrocute Mexicans and saying we should ban building of Mosques is bigoted. Saying all blacks are brainwashed is racist also and the guy must not have half a brain if he thinks he might get a nomination on that. I really tried to listen to what he is saying since he is winning support, but it is really absurd. He is probably just an attention wh#re like Palin is. It is sad really. Can't the GOP get it together ? And on the other hand... While I respect what protestors are doing, it, in my book is not the way to get anything done. Register voters. Educate people on the issues. Talk to strangers at bus stops. Try to work within the system. Learn how democracy really works ! It is not pretty, but the law of the land is that ANYONE can run for office wether it is local or national... Everyone has their own experience that forms their own opinion. On the day that the Martin Luther King, Jr. monument is dedicated, why is it ok to have someone who is ignorant and hateful and spreads separatism like it is patriotic as a serious contender? Are not we supposed to love thy neighbor or some such sh*t? If I were a Republican I would be emberassed... that is all. I have to thank everyone on here because I have gotten involved in politics on a very grassroots level because you all scare me with some of your super strange ideas...  It has added meaning to this difficult time and I am meeting some really incredible and amazing people locally. Spent 9 hours yesterday with some super positive young people who are full of endless energy (no not at a protest, but at a workshop). Believe me, Cain and the protests are not even on the radar for those of us who are ready to really roll up our sleeves and get stuff done in hopes that we can make the world a better place, and in doing that become a better person... | ||

The progressive power structure is fearful a descendant of slaves and someone who doesnt fake their dialect depending on the color of the audience is running as a conservative. If you listen to him describe his ideas its almost as if they were his own and not rehearsed with his handlers like some politicians. I think Cain also has a real resume although Im not sure if he's written as many books as totus. Its always refreshing when a candidate can talk unrehearsed about their ideas because of real world experience. | ||

So the way I'm reading it, the contracts for 2010 totaled $276B, and the total overcharges, etc. since 1995 total to $25B, less than 10% spread out over 16 years. or 0.6% per year. That's not to shabby, if you think about it. Granted, $1.56B per year is still not chump change, but this is not the spending problem the government faces; it's the $276B part that needs to be examined. | ||
