My run on Saturday will not be as spirited as past years, the roads that pack the most enjoyment here are in poor shape after the wonderful weather this year. Rest assured I will find something that will be in interest to all and a NEW BBQ joint ending. | ||

Where is the meeting place for the Albany area? What time? Usually it's just myself and Doon that head down from up here. We meet at the Sunoco station on Rt. 9W near the bottom of 787 in Albany, I think it's usually around 6am. As a heads up, it will be dark when we leave and dark when we get back. Send me a private message so I can get your email and let you know what the plan is. | ||

well considering the 24th is a monday, Might we say sunday the 23rd? And I might be missing this year  1st off bike isn't inspected, 2nd I just got back from Seattle (job interview) 3rd I heading to vegas the following saturday... And the finally the reason that makes 2 and 3 matter. I have a 2.5 month old at home.. So I not sure if I will obtain spousal approval to be gone yet another weekend.. | ||

Michael - is that Hunter Mt.? If so, I used to live about 40 miles from there. Stamford, Grand Gorge, Gilboa - not very large burgs. I heard 23A got pretty much wiped out from the hurricane rains - is that true? We used to run that road as fast as rigid-framed panheads and knuckleheads could possibly go. Probably 85, felt like 130. Al | ||

Cool I hadn't seen those kinda reminds me how insignificant we really are on this planet. I had hairs up on the back of my neck the day we went up there. I feel bad for those folks out that way real bad. And to think I was bitching about no power for 6 lousy days.On the other hand the Catskills have a beauty about em. I have been a lot of places in the world but I loves them CATSKILLS!!!!!! | ||

I'm going to do a test run this week. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Anybody who wants to tag along give me a holler. The northern part of the run needs to be adjusted slightly as Irene took out part of it. | ||

I'll be driving the roads with the Porsche club tomorrow and I'll be wandering that area on Monday and Tuesday as well if you need anything checked out. | ||

Court, I appreciate the offer, but I'll be out there on Tuesday myself. You are welcome to ride along. It is a nice route. I will be arriving at Bear Mountain at 0830 and leaving at 0900 to travel the entire route. Will probably be done about 1300. It's a leisurely 170 miles or so. I don't ride like a squid. Mike can attest. Anyone is welcome for this pre-running. |
