The first three Boeing 787 have flown the coop and are on their way to Japan to take their place in ANA's fleet. The delivery is a milestone for Boeing and the 787 is expected to perform well and be a "benchmark aircraft" in the commercial aviation world. Boeing has incurred nearly 3 year delivery delay which is a cloud over the otherwise fine achievement by an American company. Much of the delay is attributed to the difficulty on outsourcing so many subsystems and get it all integrated properly. I figure in just slightly in this by having been under contract with Boeing for software that supports the manufacturing logistics side of this and other Boeing aircrafts.
