"No kidding . . if you tried to write a novel about an idiot suddenly cast into a role far removed from his intellectual capacity to operate . . .you could not make up anything as bizarre as we are currently witnessing."

Rocket your foolishness never ceases to amaze. Many of us here are mixed race and you still persist and throw down the race card. Your union comrades are revealing thier truly evil natures once again. After 2012 elections we can free ourselves of the would be masters, the main problem is we have bumper crop of useful idiots In light Obamas executive order requiring government contractors to use ONLY APPROVED read union employees we informed all of our contract officers we will complete existing contracts and not bid or accept any work on Government buildings. It will hurt a little but why sell your soul to the devil! If we wont do the work they cant spend the Money! How many more times are you going to promise to leave and never come back? Oh! why we should expect a UNION MAN to be Honest

Interesting . . . I tried searching "non-union corruption" and, in each and every search engine, it changes the search to "union corruption" and returns somewhere between 92,000 (Bing) and 5,660,000 (Google) results.
That's scary.
Surely we can find a corrupt non-union firm.
I figured I'd find one by searching "Government Contract Fraud" but . . . alas . . that brings up over 53,000,000 results all bearing the word "union".

Fun article . . . if you think a Track Foreman making a QUARTER MILLION $$ a year is excessive . . . do some searching and read about NYC public librarians. . their union done good for them . . . tossed their asses right in the midst of the Big O's much dreaded "super wealthy".

Rocco,
Did you learn that response from Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton? I have no idea why you played the race card on that, but if you are going to call someone a bigot you should learn to do it without such a blatant display of bigotry on your part.

"On one side would be those Americans who believe in the power of vast, well-developed institutions like Goldman Sachs, the Teamsters Union, General Electric, Google and the U.S. Department of Education to make the world better. On the other side would be people who believe that power, whether public or private, becomes corrupt and unresponsive the more remote and more anonymous it becomes; they would press to live in self-contained, self-governing enclaves that bear the burden of their own prosperity."

Court with the truly racist Davis Bacon regulations what do you expect unions hold the contractor hostage and the usual union bs threats sabotage work slow downs feather bedding and theft. Look up the reasons for that bill and you will understand why most Government contract corruption is Union Based. Most contractos are written to exclude nonunion contractors. Rocco did you realize your unions help promote Racism for the last 70 years? Hmm if keeps his word we will not get a response if he continues lieing about leaveing we will get a BS blast I know what I'm betting on !

>>>>Look up the reasons for that bill
No need. I graduated after spending 4 years studying Law Law & Legislation, in 1977. One of the first groups I took on was the Department of Labor.
I hired attorney Bill Isokait and off went a young Mr. Court to Washington, D.C. to seek equity and justice.
I got my ass kicked big time.
But . . . .
I learned how the game was played.
Quite familiar with Representative Bacon and Senator Davis. I'm REALLY, as you suggest, surprised that minority workers haven't rallied for repeal . . . .
It, the idea that a firm should be penalized for hiring "Negroes", is as relevant today as are most the unions.
Did you learn that response from Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton? I have no idea why you played the race card on that, but if you are going to call someone a bigot you should learn to do it without such a blatant display of bigotry on your part."
No. Sorry but I'm not fond of either of those two men. Me a bigot. Far from it. I just call it like I see it. And my opinion of you is exactly like I see it. I don't try to hide the fact. Maybe if some here would just be honest and say they don't like Obama because he IS black, it would clear up a lot of hidden issues. Just be honest.
A good trick. This kind of authority, prior approval of whatever he wants, is usually reserved to dictators with rubber stamp senates. But that's not the intended response of the voters. The enemies of the Regime will be blamed for every job lost until they pass the bill NO ONE ON EARTH has read, because it has not been written. Brilliant. Evil, but Brilliant. With total cooperation from NBC etc, and the willing enthusiasm of useful idiots like Rocket..... Michelle is counting on 4 more years of great "free" vacations.
Hybrid, your racist attitude ill suits you. What possible, difference does the color of the President make to how great a leader he is? Ok, ok, I admit extra tentacles, or eyestalks, might not be as photogenic as the guy with the radar dish ears and neck problem. ( requiring a look down the nose posture last seen on Mussolini )
Honestly, the ear thing? just amuses me that we've had 2 Presidents in a row who are perfect for the cover of Mad magazine.
If you're looking for a physical attribute to be against, perhaps the ears should be looked at, considering the records of the last two Alfred E Newman clones.
Pity Rocco has no actual facts or opinions to further our understanding. How is it on the plantation?
I used to enjoy these debates when they served as a forum for folks with diverse views to enthusiastically express them.
When the playground name calling starts, I too draw the line and withdraw. Kind of the "don't major in the minors" and choose carefully who you allow to use your time.
Rocco and I hold decidedly diverse views. That does not make him an "idiot".
Intelligent people, regardless of perspective, can hold intelligent discussions and find amazing solutions.
If you have the chance . . pass this message on to the President. He desperately needs the lesson.
I do note that the first people to talk about our prez's race use it to attack people who don't talk about race. Perhaps not considering race is a "code word" for racism? ( seem 1984-ish enough? )
Ok, got me on that one. ...obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices... I'm obstinately intolerant of ideologies that have a history of mass slaughter for the purpose of control of the masses. That makes me a religious bigot. I don't like Communism, Islamism, or the Holy Inquisition. ( what a show! )
I like to think I'm open to ideas otherwise. Happy to hear reasoned opinion.
A remake of Total Recall is supposed to be filmed starring.....possibly Kate Beckinsale or Jessica Biel
That's a tough one. In the interest of fairness, I'll need to look over some scantily-clad pictures of both to help me decide which is better "suited" for the role.
I would LOVE to have logical, topical debates on issues. Unfortunately, many are unable to conduct themselves in a manner that would allow for it.
Example:
Point: "Obamacare is the single largest socialist piece of legislature that has ever been put into law, and here's why (point 1,2,3,4,5)."
Counterpoint: "You are an idiot tool of the right wing and a puppet of Fox News who is only saying these things because you are a racist and hate Obama because he is black."
Maybe if some here would just be honest and say they don't like Obama because he IS black, it would clear up a lot of hidden issues. Just be honest.
No doubt that would fit in very nicely with your world view. Personally I'll just stick with my current reasons for not liking BO, many of which are the same reasons for not liking Jimmy Carter. One area that differs though is that I believe that Jimmy Carter was simply incompetent. I believe that BO has great disdain for what has made the US a great nation.
I could happily have Herman Cain or Allen West as my President or VP, not because of their skin color, but because of their conservative ideals. Or I could just be a racist.
I dont like Obama. He allways seems like he is speaking ...not to me, but to his fellow democrats & liberal friends. It seems like talks TO them, but AT me. He is a divider. (imo) But once he finally figures out he is a one term president, he will start appeasing the elephants.
