Not too bad here on the Connecticut coast...so far. Wind and rain, whats the big deal? And to think I high-tailed it all the way from Pennsylvania to watch the trees sway back and forth....pffft.

Still no cell service out by Brankin. Road closures will make it impossible to go out and check. Hope to hear from him soon.

Carteret County: •The number of roads currently impassable due to either high water, fallen trees or downed power lines is too massive to list individually. U.S. 70 from Beaufort east is essentially impassable. N.C. 12 to Cedar Island is impassable, as is Merrimon Road to South River. •The majority of roads east of Beaufort have high water, downed trees, downed power lines or a combination of them. West of Beaufort damage is not as extensive. With less storm surge, tidal flooding has not yet been a major concern along most roads. However, downed trees and/or powerlines have limited access along many routes.

Ooops! Just took a ride to the beach. Umm, what beach? No sand left. We'll have to fish from the parking lot now.

Lights still on out here at "The End."
Wind and rain - we'll see how the storm surge acts.

Pretty much what we had here in western Maryland - just another average rainstorm. I live in a floodplain (gotta love that required FEMA flood insurance!), made sure all my runoff pipes were clear, 'chutes' under the dog fence were clear...and we didn't even get any substantial runoff.

Glad to hear Court and our NYC members fared reasonably well. Sounds like everyone did, actually.

"Part of a tree had landed on your car..." now THAT's funny! evil...but funny : )

Still no power since last night. I ended up going riding last night and this morning just so i can recharge my phone. Lots of flooding and down trees, but that is about it.

Acurrate reporting is everything . . . . I was dispatched today on a report of "tree fell on wires, wires down and no lights".

I went and check and reported back. "Tree fell, missed wires, lights working"
