Go back and look at what the media was doing with its nightly broadcasts of body counts and war dead.... Now AFTER the election; where did those stories go ?
The news has long been a propoganda arm, They Had Tass, Pravda - we have a 'free' press - in that anybody that buys the time and the space controls the content.
look who is spending the money and where, and how and often. You can always tell a wh_re by the receipts she gives.

The news follows the agenda.

Prior to the elections, the agenda was to get a Democrat elected.

The agenda for 2012 will be to keep a Democrat in power.

Watch what is reported and how it is reported and see if it doesn't follow this agenda and run contrary to any other agenda.

We will soon be seeing stories about families in recovery and how their lives are better now vs. before. We'll start seeing stories about people grateful for Obamacare and how they will no longer have to use their dead sister's dentures.

Day 1000 Project, The Road To Recovery
America means jobs, we have put forth every effort to create jobs, we have freed the constraints of predatory credit, we have fostered innovation with green technology, we are moving forward to unburden small business from the raising costs of crushing medical insurance plans. But most of all, we have brought about a new hope, a change, and a vision for the next four years, Today America looks nothing like it did before.
We are a happier, more productive, more diverse and committed nation than before; we are making the progress, and we are on the path to a shining future.

, - I wonder if this cult of personality needs a teleprompter writer

I like that Obama will NOW produce a SPECIFIC plan on how to create jobs. What the f*ck has he been doing for 3 years?

Think this is a result of the challenge thrown down by Pawlenty?

I think so.

When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's hard to remember that your original objective was to drain the swamp.
(I can't believe that I'm defending Obama; but watching blind hate brings out that reaction in me.)

American Union I said get away American Union Listen what I say
Don’t come Banging upon my door
Idon’t want to see your face No more
I don’t need your war scenes

Colored Fights can't hypnotize
Sparkle someone else’s eyes
Now Union, get away from me
American Union, Obama let it be
Go, gotta get away, gotta get away

Did GW bush cause this crisis?

Yes. He did not do it alone, but he has a share of blame.

Barack Obama has, IM not so HO a far larger share of the blame, and the numbers of debt accumulated, deficits each year, and unemployment make that crystal clear. It's not a point worth arguing that barry spent far more, faster, than georgie.

To those who blame all on Bush, the simple fact that the curve of stupidly huge spending accelerated under Obama makes their view obviously emotional, not fact based.

In particular, Congress, the part that spends the money, ( with presidential approval! ) had, as one of it's members, Barack Hussien Obama, the last few years of the Bush Admin., and Barack voted to spend every single dime.

There, IMHO, is where George Walker Bush has to accept the share of the blame for todays financial mess.

GWB failed to veto spending in excess of needs. He did not veto, in fact, anything Congress sent him, until 5 years into his Admin. In 2006. see note below.

In fact, NONE of GWB's vetos were about spending money.

Fot that he bears a share of the blame.

Note on 2006 veto. July 19, 2006: Vetoed H.R. 810 , Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005, a bill to ease restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. Override attempt failed in House, 235-193 (286 needed).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States _presidential_vetoes
( interesting to read.... )
While I am aware of the controversy around embryonic stem cell research, the reason stated for the Veto by GWB, that he wished to prevent humans being sold as property, strikes me as a valid moral concern. GWB was in fact, the first Prez to authorize funding for embryonic stem cell research, so his objection is not anti-science, but moral clarity. I'm not saying I agree with GWB, but his motives on this subject are clear and understandable.

I like how the republicans ran on job creations in 2010, yet haven't done shit to "create" any. And sorry, but "not raising taxes on the job creators" doesn't count. That's called @ss kissing and boot licking. Something they do very well. Too bad it does nothing for the country. Do I blame Bush 2? Damn right. But the biggest blame goes to Reagan, right on through to Bush 1, Clinton and Obama.

Don't you mean Woodrow Wilson? Don't forget FDR who spent America into an extended depression? OR LBJ who "founded" the Great society? The results including a 70% illegitimacy rate in Black American families and generations of plantation oriented State owned slaves to the system?

Simply, if they use class envy and the tactics of Alinsky, they are evil.

I to this day can't tell if Obama is an ideological true believer, or simply an exploiter of the communist/progressive way for personal power. Can you?

Psykick, you are onto something there.

Does anyone truly feel the president (any president, left, right or center) is invested with such powers as to single-handedly make rise or fall the fortunes of a huge nation? If so, does that mean we are really living in a fascist dictatorship (again, for Bush, Obama, or anyone else), not a republic.

Now, you might say that it is possible, if only we had one of those better leaders that Court keeps saying we deserve. But I (often) agree with Winston Churchill: we do get the leaders we deserve. Try this on for size: It's not W's fault, it's ours.

I don't believe that a President can force economic growth or guarantee prosperity but can work to create and foster (by leading Congress) an environment where prosperity is possible and likely.

I also believe that the policies a President advocates and promotes through Congress can create an environment where economic prosperity is unlikely. I believe that is what we have seen for the last 2.5 years.

I agree that it isn't just one person.

Fahren , I agree !

It is totally the fault of the people that are more concerned with American Idle than whos making the decisions that effect there lives .

No one was worried when they were making money !

Now the bubble popped and its panic all around .

The people allowed the government to do this .

So were do we go from here is the question .

I agree that a President at best can only create an environment where prosperity is possible. On the flip side though a President does have the power to directly stifle prosperity.

There is much greater downside contraction capacity in the office of the President than there is upside expansion capacity.

Just like the rest of life, it's easier to destroy than build.
