Hahahaha.......I'd forgotten about my " a year premature" announcement of the Ulysses. Didn't take long, on that New Years Day, for that photo to get the phone ringing in NYC. I know nothing ........ But sense I've not yet bought my last Buell. | ||

Nope. Own one of the most famous old tubers. I'm a happy guy. I know what the next two bikes in my house will likely be. I'll buy the 2nd one. | ||

Been a few other threads about it - we're moving home, well to Brisbane, and short story is bikes purchased overseas aren't very welcome in Aus. No taxes, so they make it difficult - cost and compliance-wise. It still is my favorite bike - if I only have one bike to do it all. For purely selfish pleasures my favourite bike is the HP2 Megamoto, but it's almost twice as many $ as the Uly and can't carry a passenger. | ||

Lets just say in a imaginary world, that I have seen the "Skunk-Works"....He can not make money on a very low production $40.000 superbike. The next Uly (it will not be called that) It will use the 1125 rotax in a very mild state of tune,slim, with a low C.G !Also expect a middle-weight fighter ,like a Triumph 675......Dirt-moto bike in the works but no market at this time..I can post photos of the new bikes, but he would probably hire someone to shoot me!! As soon as I get A picture of one on the street, I will post it. | ||

Bit off topic, I gotta say I like dealing with you Aus people. Just last night I was talking with some for a work related thing and I must say, the Aus are some nice folks to deal with. Got a few laughs during that one. | ||

Yea I want a "Son of Ulysses" badly. My old knees are starting to really hate the STT after about 2-3 hours. I can ride the KLR all day as it's got more legroom but it's no where near as fun, like a work truck instead of a 'Vette! I am even looking (ashamed to say it) at a 1200GS, but the fire's just not there. You think if I beg, Erik and crew will get the AX out sooner? |
