Does anyone who manufactored the Buell rlding boots that where offered a few years. SteveS had a giant sale on them when he was with Appleton. I would like to get a knew pair or a like boot. The tag on the inside of boot shows the size and made in China. Does anyone have ideas! | ||

thank you for this thread, I didnt know Buell ever had a branded riding boot. As a Buell enthusiast I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a set to stick on a shelf | ||

If they're the boots I'm thinking about:   "Buell Switchback Boots" This outfit apparently had them for sale until at some point: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/mens-buell-s witchback-motorcycle-boots-black.aspx?a=268506 I bought a pair from Bargain Outfitters a few years back for ~$60. I still wear mine regularly. No idea who made them though. | ||

Got a pair, they mostly just "look" the part, no serious protection, NOTHING like a pair of "real" riding boots... | ||

that little blue piece starts to come out after some time and you will trip over it... then you will get mad and pull it off and then you have a hole in the bottom of your boot. I had 2 pair and had them both re-soled and I have a pair on right now. I had to put Doc Scholls inserts in them They are not bad and I would like another pair | ||

I have a brand new pair somewhere. I have a messed up foot, and couldn't wear them. I'll have to find them, don't remember the size. Probably a nine. I wore them for an hour or two. | ||

Bill- maybe you should drop an e-mail to Erik Buell Racing and suggest that they market these (or something similar) with the Erik Buell Racing logo. That would be a great way for them to start their riding gear line. Brad- they're definitely not suitable for the track, but they're a decent street boot. | ||

What Hugh said. I wore mine proudly whilst working at Smoky Mountain as the "Buell" guy- now I have a pair of Diadoras which are OK, but still not really track worthy. I should man up and get some real boots sometime... I just wear steel toes on the Shovelhead, which actually provide the most protection of anything I've got... | ||

I have a pair that are pretty beat up now (and stink to high heaven). They are great boots. I may look into getting them re-soled someday. I just got a pair of those Gasolina custom boots that I'm currently breaking in. | ||

I also got a pair from Dave Stueve, they're a bit beat up but I'm still wearing them. Very comfortable but about as waterproof as a coffee filter. | ||

I tried "hard" boots, first for enduro. They protected my ankle, but at the expense of decreased mobility of the joint, which may (or may not) have contributed to an ACL tear. The ankle was immobile, so the knee had to go further. So now I just wear heavy duty but flexible boots. They won't keep me from breaking bones, but they will make it harder, and prevent most punctures and abrasions. I've tumbled down hills with a KDX bouncning around me, and my normal riding place is called "big rock" for a reason, and I've mashed feet many times, and probably cracked one bone (walked it off), but all in all they have worked pretty well. I look for boots just like those, though I prefer velcro and straps to zippers (as they are easier and quicker to use). | ||

Mine are still good,but I have been looking for an extra pair.They are pretty fair snowmobile boot when it's not brutal cold.An outfit in Europe had them on eBay for a while, but wanted $178.00 for them..No thanks! | ||
