Kevin and I napping when I got home from my Vegas trip. Three neighbor dogs kept him busy for 7 days so he was as beat as me!

Heh. Wolfie if I remember right, it wasn't that long ago that you were worried about if you should adopt a Pit Bull or not. Now look at ya! Way to go brother. The breed needs all the friends it can get. |

Its great to see all these pics and how much other people care about their pets. Their time with us is short and I think we should make that time the best we can. I've always liked the Bully breeds but with 2 cats, a older dog and a wife that would drop a biscuit if something happened to the cats or the older dog.... I had to take little bully breed baby steps. When I got home from work yesterday she had all 3 dogs on the bed with her.... I think I'm good to go |

Responsible knowledgeable owners make for great dogs. I'm a strong believer that if one feels the need to keep a dog chained, one should not own a dog. Lots of those kinds out there. They should have to spend a week chained up. Learning to communicate with, understand, and train dogs is one of the most rewarding things in my life, and I'm a pure amateur. Thank you Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer! |

Since this place is full of dog lovers, I thought I would post this here. Unfortunately I have to put my dog up for adoption. We have a new child and my dog is a little too excitable plus has has developed an allergy towards Bermuda grass which is what we have for our lawn. The only way to get him to stop chewing his feet is with an e-Collar. We have tried all different kinds of allergy treatments including prescription medication and on and on. Anyway, I am in Atlanta Georgia (Woodstock actually) and if you are interested please send me a message. Here's a picture of the little guy. He's a lab mix and is really sweet.

Good excuse to tell a dog story{ Across the street neighbor is a really sweet, old-lady with a great sense of humor. Wife looks forward to visiting her FOR AWHILE, but the old-lady talks forever & eventually gets to whining. Wife sets the timer on the stove & tells me, "when the timer goes off let the dog out, she will come over & that will give me an excuse to go home'. Timer goes off - I let the dog out - Dog trots across the street to wife - Pausing only briefly to kill a woodchuck & proudly take it to the wife so she can admire "Zoey - annihilator of woodchucks"

It turns out that armadillos are not Catahoula-proof. The armadillo's first line of defense, running away, was fruitless. Apparently Darrell took offense at the armadillo's 2nd line of defense, launching straight up like a flea to deliver a blunt force blow via armored shell to anything penetrating their little bubble of safety. The poor critter never made it to it's 3rd line of defense, curling up into a near impregnable armored ball.

Here is Harley, I know, not a very original name. And here is Zoe, my daughter's great dane. She got Zoe when she was living on her own, but now she is back at home with us and so is Zoe. These shots of Zoe were taken back in February. She is MUCH bigger now. I need to take some more shots of her to show the HUGE difference.

DD- as soon as I saw that last pic, I immediately thought of the Muppet's "Animal"... (Silly of me, at this late date, to not have figured out how to post pics- with the heat today and the AC on, I might just figger it out...) |
