One of my best friends just got back from the desert, he is a journalist for the Air Force. Tonight we were talking on the phone, he told me he had something for me, something super special that he picked up in Afghanistan He told me to first watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw5kCzp8MJw This was his piece (he is SSgt Moore) that was made for the DoD and then picked up by ABC news, NYTimes etc etc Then he went on to tell me he has a flag that was flown with one of these women (cant remember the name of her) on a bombing mission. And that they filled out the little certificate signed by the pilot stating the mission it was flown on, that it was flown for me (my name is on it, the card not flag), and dates etc Im pretty stoked on this and wanted to share. I saw that on ABC before. Really cool. It was a bit confusing at first because we have a SSgt Larry Moore in my unit. That will be a great memento and a piece of Air Force history, being flown on a 'dudette' combat mission. Thanks for sharing. | ||

Yeah, I was pretty stoked (as was he) to learn that ABC picked his story up. And then it spread from there to soem other sources. He's a good man. And so are you - thanks for your service! | ||

Man that is cool. And here I thought my American flag flown over the Arizona was cool...well it is but not as cool as this. Anybody can get one like mine. Congrats to ALL involved. |
