2011 T-100, and I love it. I've put less than 100 miles on the 1125r this year vs the approx 2400 miles I've done on the Bonnie in the 2 months I've had it.

Mrs. Romanrider has an '08 Bonnie Black. It's a sweet bike. I got to ride it to Thunder in Old Forge a few weeks ago when I left my Uly key on & killed the battery the day before. I do prefer the higher, more upright seating position of my Uly X though. Maybe a scrambler would be a nice back up bike... |

Here's my Buell along with my wife's Street Triple. Both are great bikes!

I think Buell and Triumph go well together. Similar "our way" attitudes from the companies and the rider communities are a lot alike also as far as I can tell so far. |

Similar "our way" attitudes from the companies and the rider communities are a lot alike I second that. My next door neighbor has a nicely restored '67 Bonneville. (Sorry I have no pics.) He and I have similar outlooks on life. We became very good friends soon after we met. In fact his Bonneville and my Firebolt often play together. The kicker is he told me yesterday, he's in the market for a Uly. Send me a PM if you know of any for sale in or near Iowa. I'll pass the word along. |

I have a lot of respect for Triumph...How ever the only ones I want are the scrambler and the Thruxton or maybe a Bonneville if i could not have the other two. |

My thoughts exactly about Triumph / Buell relationship. I'm thinking a parallel twin needs to be in the stable also. |

I have a Thunderbird 1600, great bike. It keeps my Buell company in the garage. (Message edited by kurbennett on June 23, 2011) |

Nothing wrong with a good Trumpit ! Something's wrong with my wife's. Number 3 cylinder has quite firing. Due for plugs and valve adjustments anyway. I think I'll swap a couple of coils and see if the problem moves or just goes away with the new plugs. This started intermittently coming home from TN. I just took it for a test ride and it ran great for three miles then one cylinder just shut off. Once it's sorted out I'll be a happy camper again though. |

"My Thruxton had to go to make room for the 2nd Uly" My city-x had to go for the 2nd Uly's bags! So far, worth it though. Would welcome a a tiger in the garage though. I like it in orange, green and (here's a shocker) in blue! |

It's a hoot to ride. Having never ridden one till the other week, I would buy another one. Hands down it is one fine ride. |

Cool. Glad to help. Was it as described? It's always hard to grade a bike for someone else. What might night matter at all to me might be a deal killer for someone else. I'm just glad that my stop by prompted a spark plug swap. Saved you time and money and made sure you got one that was running good when you got it. Let me know when you plan to ride to Barber, and we'll hook up. I'd love to meet you. |

I almost bought a Triumph back in 1998 instead of my Buell Cyclone, but I would have had to wait a week before the dealer got the Triumph in so I went ahead and bought the Buell. If I didn't ride a Buell, my motorcycle would be the Triumph Bonnieville. It seems to be a good motorcycle and priced right too! |

You wouldn't be disappointed Don. I've been on my 1125r once since the Bonneville came home in April. 3000 miles on the Bonnie since I got it. Did a two up ride over to PA thru the Laurel Highlands yesterday. 471 miles of smooth power and good enough handling. I'll probably put adjustable shocks on the rear this winter and progressive rate springs in the forks when it's due for a fork oil service. |

sifo, It is probably cause that bike has been hanging around twins for too long and it is trying to fit in... If it want's to fit in with twins so bad the plugs should be easy to change. New plugs and the rest of the 12K lovin' reminded it that is a triple. Pain in the arse to check the valve clearance too. The were all still well within specs so at least I didn't have to pull the cams out. There's a lot to be said for an outdated v-twin tractor motor! |

I really like the 800xc I sat on recently. I also LUST after a Speed Triple. They have a right nice red one on the floor that fit me just fine. |
