why do people think so highly of these folks? I could say that about any actor... singer... musician... WHY! do we care what some half wit that can sing and dance has to say. |

The TV's in our house pretty much run Nickelodeon or Disney channels.... and when I see something I deem offensive I simply turn it off. The kids know they aren't allowed to watch anything else and if I catch them the TV's will go bye-bye. TV sucks. Period. |

#1 IMO she IS guilty #2 By US Law she IS Innocent as the state proved nothing. #3 It saddens me that a child is dead and those responsible (allegedly) will be making millions off of TV and Magazine interviews and movie of the week rights. Anyway you look at it a child was killed and the murderer will most likely never pay. At least not in this world. |

Wolf I agree for a bit with you. I dont understand why people listen to an actor or musicians political stances etc but I can see thinking higher of them (than the reality folks) cause they actually DO have a talent. Beyond their profession, I dont care much for them |

I've never understood "reality TV". From what I can tell none of them have anything to do with reality. I tend to watch news, Discovery, History, Science channels with a good dose of SciFi channel thrown in for some really bad movies that can be fun to laugh at. I think the jury in this case really blew it. It sounds like they expected the single piece of incontrovertible evidence that showed guilt. Reality seldom works that way. They seemed to ignore the entire picture of all the evidence as a whole. The defense brought up the pool accident as an alternate scenario in opening arguments, but had nothing to support that. All they needed was credible testimony from the person that found the kid in the pool to destroy the prosecutions case. I know that the one time I was accused of a criminal offense I went on the offensive and proved my case of innocence. I would never have been happy with simply hoping for a case of reasonable doubt. Of course had I been guilty, I would have been very concerned about the holes that would show in my contrived story. |

I have to agree with the jury-- as I will never convict on D$A--I beleve every one should be treated the same (equal) As this case was not near as strong as the O J case, He walked and so should she. |

First I've read about the case. Seen headlines on Drudge, but was never interested enough to click the links. We ditched cable. The documentary selections on Netflix are excellent. We enjoy a good film too. Some folks can't help but put entertainment/sports celebrities way up on a pedestal. Most celebrities it seems end up proving that they deserve the exact opposite. Those that show themselves thoughtful and intelligent seldom abuse their soap-box. |

'splain this to me.. When cable came out, the pitch was that you had to pay, but no commercials. Then TBS had some commercial deal in their contract with cable providers, so the door got cracked open.... Now, much of the programming is up to 25% commercial air time. I presume they pay cable providers to have the commercials broadcast - so 'splain to me why I still pay $2 a day to watch commercials?? (rhetorical question). And Casey Anthony got off - that's about as much as I've been following it. |

I think the root of all evil is ignorance. That said, I am pretty disgusted that as a beginning science teacher I would make $32,000 per year and someone like this scumbag (Anthony... a liar and a cheat regardless of her guilt or innocence in the murder trial) will probably make a few million on a new book deal. That said, I am hooked on true crime shows like The First 48 Hours, the ER Untold Stories and other gory and disgusting cable tv shows... it makes me feel like I come from a more 'normal' family... and that is a major feat I think. |

>>>>>GH isn't that bad... lol I'm in the same boat. She always records/DVRs it. Then watches it in bed. I ignored it for a year. Then started glancing at it over my book. Then just started bitching about it and now I am a viewer. I also know that this has cost us two punches against are man cards..... |
