Author Message   Ulynut Posted on Monday, July 04, 2011 - 04:06 pm:        I was replacing the rear brake line on the Uly today when I spilled some DOT 4 brake fluid on the belt. This got me thinking about possible chemical reactions between the belt and brake fluid. Any chemists here can chime in. Of the folks that have had drive belt failures, how many have worked on the rear master cylinder or brake lines?   86129squids Posted on Monday, July 04, 2011 - 04:08 pm:        Don't know the answer, but I'd go ahead and order a replacement just to be safe... NO issues and really shined them up.
