Did Dave start this post? Seems to be missing something from previous poster(s). If not then heck if I know. |

Court is a pretty smart guy but I don't know if he's the guy to make these decisions. |

Preach on, Brother Pwnzor! I'm so f**king sick of sports I could puke. If the American people knew as much about politics as they know about sports we would be in much better shape. |

Don't blame the players for being overpaid, blame the sports fans for overpaying them. |

Simple rules for ALL stick and ball sports: No agents ALL players MUST have a college degree salary will be based off the base salary for the course of study in which you got your degree. No free agency performance based salary bonuses to be paid at the end of the season NO signing bonuses or guaranteed contracts and for the players who don't like it GO get a REAL job based off your education. |

Pwzor, I was going to comment that I hoped you didn't mean motorsports too. Then I realized the only "Broadcast" motorsports is NASCAR. I'm a total gear head and can't get excited about NASCAR. If you want to see race cars make right turns you better have cable AND a Tevo/DVR. |

Pro sports do NOT deserve your attention. I got so disgusted listening to MLB whiners during their strike that I realized they do NOT deserve my support in any way. It's all entertainment and as such, NONE of these entertainment types "sports" or any others on TV get my attention. I last owned a TV almost 12 years ago and every year, I feel better about the decision - and the gaining of a good 10 hours per week to do ACTUAL LIVING. |

I'd be happy as long as Court awards the titles to the Packers and the Celtics every year. Well. contrary to popular opinion, I like pro sports. Can't sit through 9 innings of Baseball (or 4 of Cricket either) but I watch the Bball pretty regularly and NFL occasionally. >>If the American people knew as much about politics as they know about sports we would be in much better shape.<< You'd still have a politician in charge. The defunct XFL was "where it's at"......no plays,no pays. Even had my interest when I was recovering from a hernia........And I pretty much hates stick and ball sports...........unless it's kids playing..I mean real kids, not grown up cry-babies. |

Thanks Slaughter, I was going to use that one, but I might need a lawyer sometime.. In Heinlein's "Number Of The Beast" there is an alternate Earth ( of many ) where... from http://www.heinleinsociety.org/concordance/XYZ_HC. htm Year They Hanged the Lawyers In Beulahland, this momentous event occurred in 1965. It is never mentioned in the history books, and information about it is restricted. It would be, wouldn't it? I'd not care too much about the owners strikes, if I thought the TV programing idiots would fill that time with "Torchwood" or "Eureka" or even Stargate reruns... but you just know we're going to get "reality" shows. Kardashian Survivor? Chippendales Survivor? ( for the girls. lots of wrestling in oil... ) Supermodel Survivor? ( for guys...oil...girls will watch to criticize the outfits. ) The mind boggles. |

Should we treat lawyers like the wogs were. Muzzled only get 1Ct at a time. Whipping of the lawyers would not cause any one to feel bad. |

I hear we are 'closing' Gitmo... I think the lawyers aught to have to rotate through there with some first hand experience to heightened attention techniques and some social reconditioning via clockwork orange. I see a long standing purpose for that base on that 'business' model |

I too, have jettisoned TV. Actually, I still have one but no cable, and what's on network is even worse than cable so I haven't watched it since the blizzards of '09. Even drinking is better for the mind than watching TV. |

We need a small correction "The only sports are Racing ,Bullfighting and Mountain Climbing. football, basketball etc are games " Ernest Hemingway Why do you want to watch overpaid mostly criminals play a kids game? When did you have racers getting out on bond killing dogs shooting themselves dealing drugs or any other Hood activities Roger Clemens an example of the credibility of baseball yeah right Sanderson said it best I want my kids to be geeks that own the teams not the folks that play for them! Oh and we could get much better racing coverage with all the MLB bandwidth freed up alone |
