Seeing as I do not own badweb, and have zero say in the decision, I think it's a cool idea. It would be neat to represent BWB. However there may be liability issues in this day of sue happy peoples... If you do fly the flag, remember you will be representing Blake, BWB, and everybody on this board. Any and all actions will be reflected apon the whole. It a spidey moment: With great power, comes.....  Good luck, hope you are able to do it | ||

Frogster, Custodians are not in the "user" database; apparently we're in the "passwd" database, so that link may not work for a custodian account. It may sound strange, but advertising is a big turn-off for me personally, especially when we really are just a friendly group of Buell enthusiasts looking to share information and good times. The idea of "representing" in relation to a group like ours may tend to evoke images of patches on jackets and the whole outlaw gang biker culture, an appearance that BadWeB ought to be careful to avoid. I know that's not what you meant at all. I'm just blabbing my random thoughts to give you a feel for my views on the banner idea and possible issues of concern. My feeling is that the fewer non-Buell enthusiasts that know about our community here, the better. Word of mouth and google has been incredibly effective in getting the word out to those who are most welcome and appreciated in our community of Buell/E.B.R. enthusiasts. If you want to spread the word about E.B.R. to fellow sport bikers, that might be cool. Contact the folks at Erik Buell Racing to see if they are up for that. Just wearing a hat and/or t-shirt may be the best approach. What you may run into concerning the banner is a hesitancy to offhandedly trust some unknown guy from the internet to represent Erik Buell Racing. For all anyone knows, you could be a real "character", if you know what I mean. Consider if someone here asked to run a banner to represent your catering business at their "biker" meeting. Surely you'd have concerns. The fact that you're asking though is pretty good evidence of your character. What we really need is a good secret handshake.  | ||

Blake , thank you for your response . I will be wearing a Buell shirt . Am trying for a banner from ebay , hope to win it . I use discretion in my choices of events to cater , however there is always the money factor . In no way however would I hang a BWB or Buell banner at , how should I say , A BIKER PARTY without knowing who and what I am dealing with . I understand your reluctance however to have the BW put out there by someone or something you have no history of . I strive for perfection in my work . Making furniture or cooking a pig .Its what I do that makes me what I am . Not sure about the hand shake , wont that make us gangsta ? Thanks again for your input . | ||

We used to have a secret wave, but it tuned out to mean something other than 3% Please don't tell my wife it's in our wedding pics lol.. My feeling is that the fewer non-Buell enthusiasts that know about our community here, the better. blake-not a very good money making attitude you have there, lol. Gotta give you respect for keeping this place good and not trying to just make a buck like most would | ||

Mark: What are you catering? . . . I mean what's on the menu? Also . . . just something I've found . . an understated presence, like the t-shirt you are describing . . sometimes is the most powerful in that that "ripe target audience", if they spy you in an ERIK BUELL RACING t-shirt will darn sure notice and will most certainly ask you about it . . that's your cue to bring them up to speed. If you need a t-shirt just drop me a note with your size and full contact information and we'll get you armed for some "Guerrilla Buellfare". | ||

Court, one is a pig roast for some corporate types that want to let there hair down . What little they have . The other will consist of , Pit Beef , Turkey, Ham, french frys and some other sides.Thats for a fundraiser im tryin to put together to raise funds to repair a one room school house were I live.my cousin is helpin with that , and since her family all ride HDs ,were goin that route.
