Here's a new one for ya. A drunk Firefighter loses control of his bike and crashes into a cop car! At least he had on ATGATT right? OK maybe Flip Flops and shorts don't count. Looks like someone will be job hunting soon.

I got to say I have a double standard when it comes to firemen... I don't care what they do on their own time. Go to strip clubs, get drunk in public, speed.... doesn't matter to me... just as long as they are in great shape and can haul my fat ass out of a burning house... then they are good to go in my book.

As long as when they get caught, they suffer the consequences just like Average Joe Public.

I don't think it's a double standard. There job is to pull our asses out of a fire, if I'm on fire I really don't care what the person did the day before and won't ask when he's putting my fire out. But yes they should have to pay just like the rest of us, but I don't think it should effect his job.

Is it just me or does it look like the police officer was looking for an address a little too hard? Looked as though the cruiser was still moving when the bike hit it.

I don't know that I'd call it a double standard, it just looks really bad on the municipality that they are associated with. The public generally holds these type of people to a higher standard, ie: firemen, police officers and elected officials, etc.
