Oldog,
Lucky you,
I hold no high opinion of lawyers and hold them in contempt and distrust as liars and cheats, slackers and without passion. Every lawyer I have purchased the services of, the cheap ones and the expensive ones, have done substandard, questionable work that leaves any thinking person asking "What the hell were they thinking when they wrote that" and "they were the expert, why didn't they think of that"

Common sense does not prevail in courts of law.
I despise lawyers and find no good use for them but fertalizer, except for Jeffery Fieger, at least he is passionate and entertaining...
My wife is a lawyer, so of course none of this applies to her...

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jun/13/ob ama-administration-cut-access-federal-websites/

As part of the Obama administration’s campaign to promote transparency, the White House announced today it intends to eliminate the public’s access to half of the federal government’s websites within the next year.

The White House said there are nearly 2,000 websites operated by the federal government, which it said confuses people.

This is no doubt a fine thing to reduce confusion. Having only one newspaper and new station on radio and TV will also reduce confusion.

In fact it would be much better to just write all the news at the white house and have it spread by loyal minions....... Oh, wait! that's the current way! Never mind. Comrades. Ignorance is Strength.

Blake, I've noticed that too. The leftists always say there is no difference between parties when they think they are losing, and all the difference in the world when they think they are winning.

Like the Global Warming Cultists always insist in winter that "weather isn't climate" ( true ) but in summer every heat wave is the Rapture incarnate.

I am on my 3 FOIA for the CBO numbers for the HealthCare bill (they expire after 6 months... and if they havent supplied the info; you get to reapply! Yep Transparency!)
We require 3rd graders to show their work, I don't know why we tolerate anything less when it is the Government and they are doing it with TRILLIONS of dollars.

side note, I heard they cant find 6 Million Dollars for Iraqi bailout and infrastructure..... um yeah.
You will also notice that it is no longer the GAO Government Accounting Office
It is now the Governement Office of Accountability..... a world of semantics telling through that little name change.

Ya gotta love this administration . . . Michelle, her daughters, cousins, mom and the whole family headed to Africa on a "diplomatic mission". . . you can follow them on Safari on the WH website.

Waste . . . nah . . $4,000,000 to maintain relations with Africa probably makes more sense than the $1,000,000 Anthony "take a look at my" Weiner . . is going to get.

No shit . . it's really come down to this . . these folks would last about 3 minutes in private business.

But . . as soon as the NLRB gets Boeing blown out of South Carolina . . at least we'll have less private business to provide ugly reminders of common sense and reality.

Hahahahahaha . . YOU are paying for all this shit.

Court, when Obama was elected, I already knew that his teachers, mentors, and preachers were hard left, ranging from fashionably red law teachers to mass murdering anarcho-communist revolutionaries. How?

Well I paid more attention than the "news" guys who were having tingles about the guy and who actually admitted they didn't know diddle about him.

Sorry, this one has a few cuts and sarcasm comments.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzMas1bVidw

I'd heard Obama's political mentor talking about how his only regrets were not killing more cops and soldiers..... This is the guy who hosted Obama's state senate campaign in his living room. ( and is rumored, wrote at least one of his autobiographies )

I admit, I was unsure of what damage Obama could do to our way of life. But I knew he desired to do so. ( damage, from MY point of view... Transform in his. )

By that time I'd heard the Senator say he thought the Constitution was not the way he wanted it. "Flawed."

You can find all this crap online. It's a radio station interview, want the link?
Here's a very short youtube clip. Could be misleading.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11OhmY1obS4
Here's 4 minutes of the Prez. Same interview, much more interesting... if you don't mind the sarcastic and political comments that are on the video. I just didn't bother to watch after a few secs, Just listened. )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

"Flawed". I agree the Constitution is an imperfect document... but the flaw the now Prez spoke of is that the US system is not set up to equalize outcomes. That's the French Revolution. Not ours. Ours is set up to equalize opportunity.

The American Revolution and Constitution is based, at core, with the assumption that man is imperfect. That power corrupts, and is meant to try and minimize the evil that brings.

But enough about Barry, I'm torqued at Weiner! I had a great joke .... that he had to hurry up and quit to get the talk show host job....... and the *&*(^&% fracking QUITS! A weeks worth of jokes ruined! Rat B*&*(&^...

It was a perfect storm of bad jokes! The weirdness, the lies, the freaking NAME! How often do you get such rich juvenile humor, pre loaded with snickering and blushes? Damn it.

It's not fair. New York got the last 3 pervs. Or was there another states perv in there?
I'll have to check to see if NY has a congressman Seymore Heinie.

From Jerry Pournelle's site.

On Fukushima:

Sprouts

The silence of the media and activists is deafening

One German organic farm has killed twice as many people as the Fukushima nuclear disaster and the Gulf Oil spill combined. The death toll is now 33

Hello? Environmental groups? Journalists? Hello?

Lawrence

Precisely. So far as I know, no one off site was injured by Fukushima. Yes, it was a mess, and a lot worse than Three Mile Island: but like TMI it was a terribly expensive test to destruction that demonstrated the comparative safety of nuclear power. More people are killed in coal mines and at railroad grade crossings for coal trains than by nuclear power generation. Per kilowatt it's safer than anything else I know.

As Germany abandons nuclear power..... ( The Green's in Germany were originally KGB funded to wreck the West's economy. Since then, they are more radical and violent than the Red's ) Germany goes back to fossil fuels for power..... and the US is now enacting Obama's destruction of the Coal industry by EPA fiat. Also Obama's refusal to allow oil and NG drilling....

20 thousand jobs lost in the wake of the oil spill... simply from shutting down offshore drilling. Despite court orders.

Thousands of jobs forbidden in SC to keep the Union bosses happy. Remember "jobs created and saved"?

Jobs destroyed and prevented.
