I only had Thursday free to attend, so I ran up to Erik Buell Racing this morning. Erik came outside for about a half hour to talk to the crowd, sign a couple autographs, and take a few pictures. He was very excited about the new bike, and was very gracious (and very busy). I'm really glad he found the time to see his fans, and to see a parking lot full of his "children". Later we ran over to Gus's drive-in for lunch. Here's a few pictures for those who are unable to attend. The fifth picture down is a photo of me with "The Man"! What a fabulous time!........ Impressive crowd at the factory and what a great bunch . . . . We had a ball! We ended up a Gus's until nearly dinner time and then ended up with a fabulous, and funny, group for dinner last night . . . A long with a couple surprise guests. Fun stuff and it's looking like a perfect weekend for racing . . . . | ||

Folks are wandering about the area today .....riding and enjoying the "20 degrees warmer than yesterday" weather. The race team is at the track and some owners are showing up. I'm going up later this afternoon as pal can't get off work. Superbike qualifying kicks off today at 4:00 pm Tomorrow Supeebike qualifying starts at 9:30am. Threre is a "fan walk" that runs from noon to 12:45 Saturday. The first Superbike race goes off at 3:15 tomorrow . . . . . This is a moment I'm waiting for. Saturday will, be a huge day . . . .particular for Erik Buell Racing fans, friends and family . . . There will be ann1190RS on display ( look closely at the loge badging on the bike) and long time Buell owners, it's looking like, may be treated to a chance to visit with a couple very interesting folks . . . I just got word that one of them has just returned to town and plans to joins at Road America tomorrow. On Sunday . . . . XR-1200 practice starts the day at 8:30am, Superbike practice at 10:00am. The XR race kicks off at noon and the Superbike race at 3:30 pm. There's just not enough time to do all the fun things this weekend . . . . Don't miss the Erik Buell Racing pits or the James Gang Racing pits . . . . Never a shortage of friends and activity in either place. See ya there . . | ||

Wish we could Be there. I am hanging 30k Feet over Danmark, heading to Berlin on the Way to the German TT. Somebody need to say hello from Pegasusraceteam. Team and the 1190 RR will give everything this weekend against the SBK. Have fun! | ||

Court, going to turn the tables on you and ask you for a good rundown of the racing there, my old home track, as I was raised in the big windy. None of this "remind me to tell you sometime" BS. HA! Hey! I'm coming down although I'm driving my car, since the motorcycle is home in Denver (I'm stationed at Ft. McCoy, WI temporarily) Where will all the Buellers be? I was going to come watch the races tomorrow then drive back on Sunday. | ||
