My wife and I are traveling to Joplin to help family and neighbors with clean up. We are taking a trailer of supplies and need your help to fill it up. Needing non-perishable food items (that don't need a can opener and won't melt), water, diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products.

We will have a trailer at the Ridgeview Community Church office at the corner of 4th and Church in downtown Franklin tomorrow.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

The world would be better off if more people were like you, Jeremy.

You walk the walk. I admire that.

Military pocket type can openers work REALLY well and cost less than a pack of smokes. You should be able to pick them up at any outdoors stores or military surplass because they are very popular with campers and hunters due to the small size.

Also the multifunction knives that have the can opener "blade" work surprisingly well too.

And the ever present two handed twist the knob while cutting the can open openers work well too, find them at most grocery stores.

Just saying don't avoid cans because you don't have a manual can opener, they are cheap and work really well with zero power and very small effort.

Canned items also need to be cooked. Looking for quick, no cook food options.

Give a call to an Army surplus store. If they carry MREs that could be a good option. Let them know what you are doing and they may even make a donation.

I'm with Kenm123t on this. I am in Florida. What can I do to help? Would sending money assist you? How do I achieve this?
I know you're busy so just let me know what I can do when you can.
Thanks & good luck with your efforts.

If you roll through the Sharp County, AR area, you got a place to stay / stop and rest!

Also know people From Blyville to Rogers AR, if you need anything / need to stop along the way.

Way to Fatty!

The best thing you can do is coordinate with a relief organization. They have the infrastructure in place to be able to get the supplies where they need to go.

We are coordinating with the Disaster Relief organization that is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. Each has a chapter and the SBC coordinates state to state to make sure that supplies get where they need to go. We are delivering the supplies to the MO Disaster Relief group who will get them to both first responders as well as tornado victims. You can also work through the Red Cross if you prefer.
