You copy and paste a list floating around and I copy and paste an article and YOU tell ME to have an original thought?
Ya got me!
Sort of, take a look at what I posted, there are sources listed, and didn't just copy and past without letting everyone know it wasn't my original writing.
Ever been on state or federal aid? Ever on unemployment?
Neither, not even when I "qualified"
You believe in corporate welfare?
No, you need to think about what I've always said about taxes.
You're okay with YOUR tax dollars going to companies that don't need it, yet are repulsed when it's used to help the less fortunate?
See above, and then I need you to explain what you mean by "less fortunate", "less lucky"?
It's too bad that some here have taken a huge swig of Kool-Aid and feel that their fellow Americans are basically the human equivalent of crap.
WE AGREE ON SOMETHING!!!
It's also why I believe in less regulation, I believe most all people in the world aren't evil greedy nasty people that need to government to tell them what's fair, just, and how they should spend their hard earned money.
Best post ever Rocco!
You done good!

Is the "tyranny" of the "mooching & looting recipient class" perhaps overstated?

Not at all. The recipient class is abetted by the vote of BHLs (Bleeding Heart Liberals) like you. Many in the recipient class are too lazy to vote. My sister in law is a prime example. She refuses to work even though she is able bodied. She is on the take but doesn't vote. The goal of Community Organizers is to educate these people to vote so that they can get more freebies. Anyone know where there is a Community Organizer? Hmmm?

The problem can be solved by giving up the vote in return for receiving welfare and BHLs receiving a proper Conservative education. Get some.

You would be surprise that on the board of the new Health Disparities and Quality panel... There is a Requirement for a sociologist, economist, diversity member, and of course a community organizer stake holder - the rest of the panel is bilked out of upper apparatchik medical/social service architecture CMS, HHS, DSHS, DOJ.... want to barter to gather where those board positions are filled from ? I am betting Chicago or Illinois croanies is a good place to start looking... and with a five year term, and dedicated 'quality quotas' it is more and more like the Lenin NEP five year plan every moment.

they should just go ahead and tie it to voter registration, so when it is time to unplug granny, they make sure she didnt vote for them appropriately.

I think we all agree that the unions, primarily public employees and teachers unions, have pumped their members so full of this that some actually started to believe.

Folks, however, seem to be starting to think for themselves again. It was interesting, just yesterday, to hear the story of the 3 gals on welfare living in the same house and brining in over $10,000 a month tax free and driving expensive wheels on your and my dime . . . and to listen to the lottery winner explain how we "owed" him food stamps made me realize how poorly some folks' value system is and how they genuinely believe it.

It is incomprehensible to me how so many people can rationalize their support of Obama.

* Obama threw Israel under the bus yesterday. Any Jew who votes for this bastard in 2012 is a self-hating Jew.

* Obama has accelerated our debt into the unmanageable stratosphere and it is getting worse. Cash for Clunkers? No, Liberals are Clunkers. Very dangerous ones.

* Obama has zero sense of business and is passively aggressive hostile to it.

* Obama is a Marxist. Look no further than student loans, Chrysler, GM, AIG, Obamacare, comrade.

* This piece of Nothin who currently occupies the White House is the laughing stock of the world. England despises him, Israel detests him, France and Germany distrusts him, China sees him as a buffoon. Way to go with American Exceptionalism.

* Obama makes Neville Chamberlain seem like a hard line negotiator. He is either ignorant, stupid, malevolent, or his teleprompter is feeding him misinformation. Or all four.

* Obama takes credit for double-tapping Osama Porn Laden but allows the Attorney General to prosecute CIA personnel, close Club Gitmo, and make terrorism a criminal matter.

I could go on for another ten pages but you get the point.

I too, am not so sure about the American public who is only learning to be subservient to their Governmental masters. Only the reawakening to Conservative values will save our great nation.

I keep waiting for a BO supporter to say, "see I told you so".
Instead all I get is, "what he meant to say was", "give him a chance" and the ever popular "if Bush hadn't left him with such a mess"
The list goes on and on of course.
Don't get me wrong, I have some major issue's with our former administration, but come on...

I'm amazed that no one has brought up the "effects" of the "corporate welfare" as Rocco likes to call it. It the case of the oil companies the Rocco brought up it's worth taking a look at what would happen if the tax breaks were taken away as Rocco suggests.

Taking away these tax breaks would raise the cost of doing business, forcing the oil companies to pass along that expense to all customers. You will feel it each and every time you put gas in your gas tank, regardless of your net worth. This increase will barely be noticed by a person of any degree of wealth. For the poor, it is a much larger percentage of their total income however. The effect to the oil company is nothing more than a few changes on the ledgers in the accounting department.

Rocco, are you sure you want to be in favor of tax changes that shift more tax burden to the poor? That is the result of what you are arguing for. Have you ever thought that through? I have my doubts.

In theory (if we were ever to operate on a balanced budget) the taxes from other sources would be reduced a similar amount. Any idea who would benefit by paying less taxes toward this "corporate welfare"? Here's a hint... It won't be the 47% that currently don't pay federal income tax.

As for the lotto winner on food stamps, I find this rather interesting. I'm looking to retire rather early, but need to be able to survive on a finite amount of cash until I'm old enough to draw from my retirement funds. I actually looked into this a couple of weeks ago and can easily arrange my finances to qualify for the LINK card (Illinois' version of food stamps). This should help me stretch my non-retirement funds further. It's nice to know that the same seems to apply to the lotto winner in Michigan, as we have a place there to retire in. Rocco, you can call me a hypocrite if I chose to do this, but if you don't like it, then you should be in favor of changing the laws. I don't like the current laws, but I don't see it as being hypocritical if I follow them. I would be right by your side working to changes these idiotic laws, but you seem to favor helping me out.

I also think I have it figured out where I could qualify for welfare until my retirement funds are available. That's a little bit trickier though as it would require some riskier shifting of liquid assets that my wife really doesn't want to do. It is doable though. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever looked at doing this (I got the idea from someone wealthier than I am a few years back). Again, if you don't like to see this sort of thing happening, work to change the laws! Until then, thanks for the checks Rocco!

P.S. Only 3 weeks until I go on unemployment for the summer! I thank all of you that have worked so hard to provide these benefits to me.

We should go to the Fair Tax, a consumption tax system.

I am half Jewish, that is, from the waist down. My wife is Jewish and a former Liberal Democrat like I used to be. I would advise Obama to stay far, far away from us as he is a destructive train wreck who is even more dangerous because he cleans up well. Israel should redraw its borders to pre-1967 levels? Are you kidding me? Israel is only nine miles wide at one point. This bastard is simply dangerous.

I firmly believe that what happens to Israel will eventually happen to the United States of America, the so-called canary in the coal mine. Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey.

I like Herman Cain's 5 Point Plan:

Make the current tax rates permanent. Families and businesses do not plan for two years at a time!

Reduce the corporate income tax from 35 to 25 percent, with the potential for additional incremental decreases over time.

Eliminate the tax on capital gains and their dividends.

Suspend payroll taxes for both employees and employers for one year.

Eliminate the taxes on repatriated profits, which are earnings of American-based multinational companies that sit in bank accounts overseas to avoid double taxation for bringing their profits back to the U.S.

The more I hear him, the more I like him.

>>>>This bastard is simply dangerous.

Man oh man is that an accurate statement. I listened to that "holier than thou" diatribe last night and even my jaw dropped.

Thankfully Netanyahu pretty much told Obama to pound salt and told him to keep his self righteous stupid ideas to himself.

Not only was the idea stupid . . . the entire circus parade of doing the world's dumbest press conference the night before meeting was sophomoric, at best.

Then today . . . . nimrod scoots over to the C.I.A. to laud them . . . only forgot to mention he is currently, has been for 2 years, prosecuting C.I.A employees who were following what, at the time, were perfectly lawful and proper orders.

He really is a national embarrassment.

Cain isn't electable but I really like his thinking and it was amazing to watch what happened to him in the polls after the first press conference. Smart guy who has a plan. I'd love to him part of the next administration.

Let me get this right . . . within 30 days of having Unites States of America Securities downgraded, for the first time in history, he proposes we BORROW $3,000,000,000 more from China and give to Palestine?

If it weren't for the stories of the California Life Guards making $200,000 and retiring on 90% pay . . . . I'd be more steamed over The American Precedent.

Cain is not electable.

That's no reflection on the man nor his talent but history proves that "professional businessmen", no matter how skilled or seasoned, fare poorly in politics.

Like Trump . . some of his "kick ass and take names" ideas are appealing. But there is a lot more to leading a country that being a bouncer in a bar.

But I'd love to see him and some of his ideas somewhere in the administration.

* Obama is a Marxist. Look no further than student loans, Chrysler, GM, AIG, Obamacare, comrade.

While I agree, it is also possible he's a fascist. Not state ownership of companies, but state control with cronies and minions running the company. So Obama bears no responsibility when the company fails. Seems to be the man's pattern.

I think in reality marxist is correct, but his form of marxism seems closer to islamofascist or maoist than Stalinist. Sorta a cross between theocracies. The ideology of marx-thru- Alinsky. Distaste for the common man, belief in mental superiority, and hatred for the Constitution that limits his power. Authoritarian rejection of Constitutional limits. But I digress.....

I've said this before, and I'll say it again and it makes many people upset when I do.

You can end the welfare state tomorrow. the National Guard can handle the riots and, again, idiots will burn down their own 'hoods. ( still have sections of Rochester NY where that happened in the 60's and there are now fields. Next to crumbling public housing put up to house the displaced from the fires ) It would be bad, but dealable. BUT the Millions of State and Federal employees would kill us. Think how mild the assaults and property damage in Wisconsin would be in comparison to actually firing all the "public assistance" employees.

Don't doubt me on that one. It's not "the poor" you have to fear, no matter how many cheat. It's the ( unionized ) public sector that is dangerous. Their lives depend on more and more dependency of the poor.

Netanyahu sent the Big Nothing back to school. Obama seems adept at fooling the American public but he fools NOBODY, both friend and enemy, outside of the US. How dare this bastard give his press conference while Beebe was enroute to the US.

I heard (not verified) that Netanyahu called up Hillary and was furious. This got me to thinking that as much as I dislike her, SuitPants would be more desirable to become President in 2013. There are too many fools who will blindly vote for Obama in 2012 and Lady Macbeth could get the job done.

HC wants nothing to do with the Presidency in 2012. If she thought things were f'ed up in 2008, she wants no part of cleaning up Obama's mess. I think she'll sit this one out for a little bit.

I thought Big Zero was unelectable and you can see where that went. He was barely in politics and got elected. I wonder if the American people might take a look at a different, out of the beltway, approach.

Carville said in a recent interview that he was certain there would be a third candidate. Wonder what he knows that we don't?

Not so sure about Hillary. She is understandably bitter but she is even a better pol who knows to shut up for the moment. She was sandbagged by the Obama campaign as was Bill Clinton in South Carolina. The Clinton machine never forgets. If a political opening should occur, Obama best watch his back side. Liberals who will never admit their consternation about Obama's weak administration, will jump ship in a New York minute if Hillary sees that opening and decides to run. After all, this is her last chance with her age.

I just wish Dr. Hunter S. Thompson was still with us to give his political commentary. This is all good. Hell, I just miss co-ed showers at Antioch. Liberalism was fun then.

Hell, I'm drunk and just wanna share a beer and a shot of tequila or three with Rocco, Crusty, and Gess. They are the only ones who understand me. Erik Buell seems to be scared of me every time I go ranting in his face. Whatever won't let me go near her Piglet. Go figure.

Obama is christian about as much as fox is a chicken in the hen house. The man has a good tailor and timbre to his voice. if you diagram his sentences off tele prompter he is in about the 7 th grade.
For Christians its now time to show how you care for your neigbhor. Liberals on Badweb you know who you are Will you stand against evil and with the Israelis.
Liberals claim to stand against persecution prejudice and opression. If your not willing to stand with Israel. Every time you look in the mirror you will see a man that doesnt know right from wrong evil from good and follower of evil or maybe a prejudiced coward. If so all of the time you were a liberal ____ whatever you lied to every one about caring for others and you dont really have values. Your values are based on being popular or getting that cute girl that was misled down libeprogdemon path.
