I honestly believe he will leave this world without ever publishing it. The lost stories never to be shared. Tragedy, sadness, and boredom foisted upon us because one man became so engrossed with living his life that the paper and pen were spurned. Like the bride ignored till a lesser man steps up to the plate and scribbles all over her. Perchance we could get one good tale shared on a monthly installment program? I've found that he means that when he says "remind me to tell you" it's verbally, not necessarily in print. Here's how you do it: Get him in person - you know, with his body in the same room as yours. Have a recording device ready. Ply him with PIE! Pecan is his favorite, and although other flavors may be as effective, this remains to be proven out. DO NOT become offended if he leaves shortly after the last of the pie is gone, he's a busy man and has things to do, places to go, people to see. I'm convinced that with enough pie, some strong coffee and some logistical maneuvering, we'll get those stories one way or another! Al | ||
