I have been listening to these guys non stop since last summer after seeing them at SPAC... And now waiting for the 30th when they are at the time union center.
Lemonchili...I think this band is in your realm!! Nice! Thanks dude! I haven't heard about them, wow, what a line up... Bonamassa is great, Bonham rocks, the singing is great (if a little English metal at times), but what gets me is the bass playing - VERY cool, and you can *hear* the bass
Hey, since this is a music type thread; is anyone besides me going to the New Orleans Jazz Festival the weekend of the 29th?
I'll be there with my daughter for Mumford and Sons and Avett Brothers.
It looks like a really cool line-up this year. Jeff Beck, Robert Plant, Bon Jovi, Jason Mraz, John Mellencamp, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Jones (I know you dont have to say anything), The Decemberists, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffet, the Strokes and TONS more.
I dont know If I can talk my daughter into riding the 5-6 hours each way rather than driving but I'm trying real hard...parking would be so much easier
If you do nothing else: SEE TOM JONES. You won't be disappointed! (It isn't his "Vegas" show) Robert Plant is also well worth a viewing. Enjoy. I wish I could be there. Chris C
I know he can sing and like many of his songs, but I've heard HORROR stories about his "Vegas" show for the little old, "blue hair", slot machine feeders. I'll give it a shot, I hate to miss Mellencamp though, they are playing at the same time. (lol, heaven help you if your wrong, its only a 2 hr ride to hunt you down and kill you )
Sorry,I didn't see the playbill! Given the choice, I would see MELLENCAMP every time! (Gotta love "Cougar"!) If'n your gonna come & exact revenge be prepared for me to ply you with ale & take every opportunity to dissuade you from any violent act towards my good person. PS: I saw "Big Tom" several years ago (not in Vegas) & it was a really good show! Later, Chris C
