I found this interesting. http://blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/2011/04 /assembly-gives-four-legislator.html Aside from the hypocrisy of lawmakers who are anti-gun, except for themselves, there's another aspect that really gets me. Basically they are being given the blessing to carry concealed weapons in an area that is a no gun zone except for law enforcement. Pretty much the same laws that are in effect for schools. Why do they feel the need to CC in a no gun zone? Don't they believe their own hype about banning guns? On a related note, here's a rape case on a college campus where the girl with a carry permit followed the law and didn't carry on campus. Even with a license, CC in Cali and actually defending yourself with the gun will still net you time in jail while you prove your innocence. Not worth it to many including me, going to jail for defending yourself is so not right. The criminals don't seem to mind though - we need a better weapon - a six shot tazer could be useful. The situation as it stands sucks - there where two shootings in our neighborhood last week - both times - criminals, and innocent people die, and the police are busy giving tickets to raise city revenue to do their proper jobs, as if there where enough anyway to do that.
