The Windy City Club was in attendance.
We all had a very nice time, the staff was very friendly from Craftsman and welcomed us with free parking next to the building. (a great value in Chicago). Plenty of good eats and drinks. The production seemed a little hokey, but Erik, Geoff and the crew handled it all very well and they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did.
Was there streaming issues with Facebook?
Can we not watch it anywhere now?

I couldn't view it as well. I home next time they stream the video feed on the craftsman website and don't mess around with FB and the popup crap. |

Craftsman, could you would you please,release another version without the background music, this most excellent video doesn't need it, at all.

I most emphatically agree. I could only get through about 10 minutes of the video before the ridiculous background music drove me away. The amateur host didn't help.
Anyone ever see Greg the Bunny? Remember the "SK-2.0" episode? That's what this video reminded me of.
Please PLEASE un-slick the show. The topic is interesting enough. It doesn't need to be dolled up. |

I would also like to give a big thank you to Craftsman for doing the interview. If you support Erik Buell Racing, I will support you where I can, and I use a lot of tools.
And I would like to second the motion of making the whole thing less "slick", it took away from an otherwise very good event.
Using facebook to get the word out was great, it worked. Using facebook to host the event... not so much. Between the necessary pop ups (that are inevitably blocked) and the hugely invasive privacy invasions I had to give up just to watch the video, I think it lost a lot of viewers. Given the necessary privacy I had to give up, maybe I was the only one, but instead of getting a gift I was grateful for, I felt more like I was tricked into a deal that I'm not sure was fair.
(But based on past experience, this is a Facebook thing that Craftsman probably got suckered into thinking was not a big deal, not a Craftsman thing... this stuff is par for the course for Facebook).
But again, a big thanks to Craftsman for doing it in the first place. |

Hootowl, I totally agree, and didn't want to be the first to say the apparently non-riding amateur host did NOT help.
Good to see more Erik Buell Racing though! |

Yes, the music was there, but it wasnt that overpowering in my opinion.

This was a great event. Four of us were in studio from Indianapolis. I'm the dude in glasses with the Black Erik Buell Racing shirt and grey jacket.
Was wonderful to have Erik sign my bike and get to talk to Tony for almost an hour about the engineering behind the 1190rs. |
