Was looking for you to show up. Next time. Are you in for the Pa Burger run?

Only took a few photos today

Crusty,
Thanks for the key chains. Good to see you again. Did not get to say goodbye when you left.

I got to pre-ride the upcoming get in gear event and the roads are surprisingly decent. Stopped at Oakland valley racepark and grabbed some cameraphone pics of the flattrackers.

Remember that road I mentioned to you guys? Here's Mike guiding a couple of the more cautious guys past one of the deeper holes along the way. The whole damned "road" (and I use the term loosely) was this way:

Big Hole 1

Big Hole 2

You know it's bad when a Spyder needs help!!

Court, I was actually rather surprised you weren't with the group. They did have fried okra on the menu, but I opted for the collard greens instead.

Man I just had too much to do today. At least I got some riding time in Sat. but would have liked to see some Buellers in this state.
Mike, guess you went through some rich areas of the state. Actually the whole west end is pretty much the same. Plenty of horse farms to keep the bankers busy on weekends.
Glad everyone found it okay, told you it was a small plaza huh?

Nate; I'm surprised I didn't see you. I also took the long way home, but I didn't go all the way to North Adams. I went north on Rt.8, but my low fuel light came on, so when I got to Rt. 20 in Mass(there's a state Rt. 20 in CT), I turned east to find gas, and wound up going through Westfield to Springfield. then I went north to Greenfield to Rt.2.
I took some pictures, but I had the camera on the wrong setting and they didn't come out. Doh!
I enjoyed seeing everybody! Mike, I didn't mean to snub you when I left; I thought I'd said good bye to everyone. I apologize.
Restaurant review: It's a tiny hole in the wall; most of us had to eat outside at two picnic tables. I had the Pulled Pork with sweet sauce, and 2 sides; baked beans and black eyed peas and rice. The food was good, but not quite up to the Dinosaur. They gave decent size portions. Their own branded root beer wasn't very good. I would eat there again, but I don't think I'd go out of my way. unless it was to meet up with a bunch of people on motorcycles.

Man . . . I have a tough time being on a diet (there is 29# less of me than there was on February 19) and reading this stuff.

I may try to take a run to one of these places here in the next week or so . . I'm feeling up for a transgression since the last one was the feast Mike and I had in Daytona. . . . actually, a 2-day feast.

I still miss the BBQ from Kansas and the days of sitting the the park eating REAL BBQ from Guy and Mae's Tavern

These are some of my favorite threads to salivate over . . . if a guy's gonna sin . . well, BBQ is worth it!

I'm five miles away. Anytime you guys want to come is fine by me. There's also Pig Pit which is very good and not far from Dinosaur.

if a guy's gonna sin . . well, BBQ is worth it!

AMEN!

Here's the route the Long Island contingent took, from Little Neck Plaza to Uncle Willie's, courtesy of Google Earth and my Android Phone:

There are so many great roads in the Northeast, it's hard to not have a good ride if you put just a little planning into it. Western Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York...
You hear about all the great roads in other parts of the country, the great roads up here, while not publicized , are a true delight

That "Dirt Road from Hell" was about three miles from the end.
