Has anyone ever posted on the Parts Wanted section and been propositioned by several people from the UK?

I'm pretty sure I just fell for one, as I sent 150 pounds to someone for a used HMF slip on.

He claims that someone else must have picked up my wire transfer from Western Union.

The next day I got another e-mail from another UK resident also claiming to have a used HMF slip-on.

Any advice? I just filed a claim with the FBIs Computer Crimes dept.. Western Union has been of no help.

PM me if you don't want it to be public, get me the thread where this has happened, usernames, details of the emails, etc.

I hate to say it but Western Union has no protection for either party, and pretty much every transaction I've ever heard using it has been a scam.

Yeah it sucks, but some lessons are learned the hard way.

They never actually responded to my post, they just e-mailed me...

In hindsight, I should not have put my e-mail address in the actual post.

It's odd though, because the guy continues to e-mail me...

He probably figures he has a fish on the line...why let it get away before you bleed it dry.

Real bummer of a situation, hope things work out to you advantage
