Just an FYI.

I had unlimited text. There is a new unlimited text that also includes Free Mobile to Mobile on ANY network. It is the same price as just unlimited text. Nothing changes and you don't have to renew your contract. You can change it online or call in. Most of my calls are to cellphones so I don't get charged any minutes.

I'm not sure why text has anything to do with free to other network cell calling but I'm using less minutes now.

I'm not affiliated with ATT but figured someone could save from it.

thanks, I'm going to have to look into that, one of my only perks for having ATT is the rollover minutes,

it will be interesting to see what happens now that they are taking over T-mobile

There it is!

AT&T Wireless New Family Text Plan with Free Mobile Calling

quote:

Family Messaging Unlimited with Mobile to Any Mobile Calling

Unlimited Calling and Messaging to or from any Mobile in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S.V.I. Messaging Unlimited includes domestic Text, Picture, Video and Instant Messaging.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads-up on that!

Now to edit our A-List to remove all the mobile numbers, add in their place the most called land lines, then switch to a lower minutes rate plan.

We switched to the 700 minutes a month plan a while back and have done ok with that. It helps quite a bit having a work cell that gets used when I am on the road. AT&T offers a 23% discount through my company as well, so don't forget to check out those discounts too!

Blake,
I've been on the 700 a month deal for 18 months or so- if and when we do go over, I just bump up to the higher plan for one month to cover the overage, then back to the 700 a month plan- AT&T allows you to backdate a change to your account for overages etc.

I rarely call land lines anymore except for work, and then it's on the work cell. With this new plan above, you'd have to be on landlines for all of that time to go over.

...then switch to a lower minutes rate plan

Do know, though, that these unlimited options require that you be buying at least 700 minutes. You won't be able to scale back too much...
