3 of us went to an ATV park by Cedar Rapids yesterday. Only got stuck once and tipped over once. Sprained my index finger but ok otherwise. Had a Blast! I need to go to the car wash!

Those lean the wrong way when you turn 'em! You are welcome to borrow my KDX sometime if you want to fall over properly! |

They have ATV parks? Does that mean that you didn't have to run from the cops? |

The MX bikes are fussy little primadonnas... Great when everything is right, but everything is never right, if you know what I mean. The enduro bikes will run longer and manage better. I really like my KDX (two stroke 200 or 220). Low maintenance, only a little over 200 pounds, enough power to do what you want but not always trying to kill you. You can find them for under $2k, and rebuild them every other season for $250 in an afternoon. Some of the more modern KTM two strokes look pretty good to me also. The four strokes are nice, but to get that kind of power out of a light bike, you are looking at scary stressed engine. A CRF-450X (the durable one) manual calls for a top end rebuild after every 10 hours of use... and top ends on a four stroke ain't cheap! |

Been taking my pit bike (klx140L) out some to some local riding parks, LOVE IT its nice when you fall to not get pissed and bummed out. Nothing gets damaged and if it gets dirty - who cares? Its a nice change from street riding. LOVE IT Think once my two of the bikes get paid off I'll get a TTR230 |

That park used to be great to ride at before they closed a bunch of it down. You could ride the creek, down to the lake and through trees along the lake. Then some yahoo rode across the golf course and they took away even more. Looks like you made the most of it though. |

Yeah, we heard it went from 600 acres down to 150. I'll tell you what guys, riding a quad for 3 hours is work! Far from the finess that is sport bike riding. The ATV is more like running a post hole digger for 3 hours. The old style you turn to dig the hole. Great upper body workout! Hey Mike, know anything about the park by Tama? I heard it is full of junk and nails? |

Hey Daves, is that thing an 800? I've got an '06 800 XT Max and it just rips! Been rock climbing, trail riding @ 11,000 ft and plenty of time in the desert. Never done mud though. I did put on a steering dampener and it helps with the fatigue (new ones have electric power steering). |

Mine is a 2008 400cc. I pretty much use it for hunting and plowing snow at the shop. Fun to go play with too. Not very fast but does what I need it to do. |
