OK, I am so absolutely sick of getting this one in my in box. I dont know how many times I can hit unsubscribe or unlike or block, but Mr Tesla and his electrifying secret keep finding their way into my mail box .... grrsssss.
Makes me angry, very angry indeed....
but a little curious.
Anyone here with any mechanical aptitude actually get one to work ?

thinking that it smells of scam, but if it worked (albeit eccentric like running a truck on cooking oil) it might be worth the look.
especially coupled to one of these

I know, it definitely stinks of it, I am still trying to figure out how I got on their mailing list! but any 'link' about it is all about information on how to buy and build plans. .... smells like scamorama to me.
I would think if it were real, popular mechanics would be all over it..... crickets from them.

still an electric vehicle-with no registration- that doesnt require fuel, and makes no noises..... well the tin foil hat wearing icon in me is intrigued, but I doubt it is real.

I don't see anything about Tesla anything on that web page. Just some fairly cool looking electric toys for rich boys.

Didn't Nicolas Tesla claim to be able to create free electricity or something like that?

Not free electricity - just high-voltage devices, that were used in a lot of early high-power broadcast antennae, and now, if you google "Tesla Coil," you can see his nifty arc-ing device/"toy." Neat stuff.

Tesla's work is why we have easy electricity today...

He and Edison were bitter rivals- although Edison is more well-known, I believe Tesla's work is every bit as important if not more.

Philo T Farnsworth, Nikola Tesla.

Most ripped off guys, ever.

Philo only invented the Scanning Electron Tube ( television ) The Fusor (fusion reactor) and a few things you use all the time but never heard of. Got zip. RCA built TV's during WW2 ( for the military ) made a fortune with TV after the war, and never paid him Royalties. His heirs got $50,000 years after his death after a decades long court battle.

Nikola, now, invented the Twentieth Century. If he'd been a genius at business, like he was with physics, Bill gates would be his houseboy. Instead He died broke.

A very edited list would have to include...
Alternating current, alternators, electric motor, the Tesla coil, radio, electronic logic circuits, wireless transmission of power, the artificial aurora, the death ray, the Vibrator......... You know, the Twentieth Century.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_patents

Please post the link to the con man trying to sell one of Tesla's unknown inventions. It won't work, of course, But I'm curious.

There was a bunch of guys trying to sell electrolysis kits for your car a few years back. You'd wire up a jelly jar full of water with electrodes to your car, then hose the H2 and O2 produced into the intake. Supposedly the burning gases boosted mileage, completely bypassing the second theory of thermodynamics. The power pulled off the engine to turn the alternator is way more than the power gained by sucking a tiny amount of Hydrogen & Oxygen into a car engine. It wasn't even enough to need retuning the Injection or Carb system ( one of the claims was you didn't have to ) so no way did it save you anything. Measure stuff right, mileage goes down.

It's the Law.

Now, Nicola was a freaking genius. If HE was making a super-battery or Mega-motor, I'd look at it. Some guy sending an e-mail?

and...with no registration Boy, you sure don't live in NY. They want to license bicycles here. I just paid $300 for 2 cars. I'll bet WA is at least as anal. Might even be more intrusive. ( Like NJ requiring project cars to be licensed and insured...( in a garage, not running ) I assume they still do that. It's been a while since I had to deal with NJ code )

I will post up next time
(it does always seem to be a different add address affiliate pushing it - makes it stick of 'quick rich' scheme)

Aesquire - AMEN

I pulled together a group in our Radiology department to put together a project for this next year.

We're honoring Tesla

Building a mini city with lights - no wires- and building a box (with a plexi see through lid so people can see just how easy it would be to create a frequency generator to power our little city.

And of course we're throwing in a light bulb just sitting there with no wires attached for people to pick up and see it light up in their very own hand ; )

We know where everything came from ; )
