I needed a diaphragm for my KLR's carb...same one fits a Sporty as they both use the Cv 40. the Kawasaki dealer didn't have it BUT the H-D dealer did and a LOT cheaper too boot! One short drive later my KLR runs a lot better than it ever did! I can out run a kid on a Big Wheel now!

Now do I have a Kawa-Davidson? Or a Harly-Saki?

Harley-Saki? Don't give them any ideas or they'll be putting their name on Japanese alcohol.

my buddie has an 09 KLR, he was having some starting problems with it. it ended up being something in the carb, cant remember what. instead of fixing the stock vacuum slide he put a flat side mikuni on it. he says it runs and starts 100x's better now than it did when it was brand new. just something i thought i would share if you ever want to change it out.

The KLR is my beater, ride to work, get groceries, kind of a two wheel station wagon.

I used to have a Suzuki gs500 that used the same brakes as a blast. At that point in time it was easier to get stuff from a Buell dealer, who knows now...

Blast parts from HD dealers are not usually a problem as they run the Blast as their RE bike.

A friend of mine rides a KTM 950Adventure,he was having a hard time finding shims for his valves,I did some asking at the H.D.dealer,turns out the V Rod uses the same shims and come in half sizes and are cheaper than what he had to order from the KTM dealer.Oh yea they were in stock. So I guess if you own a Kawi. or KTM and need parts go to the Harley dealer?
