Got most of my 1125R put back together today and took it out for a spin. First time since my accident last Hallowe'en. Only put on 26 miles but it was enough to remind me why I LOVE this bike.

Only thing I didn't replace was the ignition cover... it looks more involved than I initially thought. I have the part, but left the original on for now. Need to borrow a buffing wheel to finish off the job I started on the fairing. Did quite a bit by hand with sand paper and a rubber sanding block but I'm just not getting the "shine" back with manual labor. It feels smooth to the finger tips, but I think I need a mechanical wheel to buff back the shine.

More miles and smiles tomorrow.

Good for you! You're making me jealous though, I don't have mine back together yet. I'm stuck riding the X1 while I wait for parts. I cannot wait to get the 1125 out again, it's gonna be awesome!

I don't have an 1125, but the ride I took today felt pretty good to me!

Even though my 1125R has heated grips, the K1200LT is a far better "Winter Bike" so it wasn't too much of a bother. But now that Spring is here, it's good to have the 1125R back on the road.

I too took my first ride of the year this weekend. Pulled out of the driveway and literally thought " DAMN THIS FEELS GOOD!" Hopefully the snow storm tomorrow melts quick.

Snow predicted here on Wednesday, but mixed with rain and with the predicted temperatures it won't stick around (if at all).

Hoping to ride today, but it's raining all day. Must be Spring! Should be able to get out tomorrow though.
