Not the first and certainly won't be the last Motor racing venue to have financial difficulties : (

Donington has just been bought back by the original Wheatccroft family owners after going bankrupt trying to attract F1, and Jerez has been declared bankrupt in Spain after failing to pay contractors for two years.

Who will be next on the list?

It is a shame - that's a very nice facility. I hope they can work something out.

We don't have many places like this in the Northeast, so I'm hoping that they fare well, and that Monticello doesn't go in the same direction.

Bluegrass Motorsports Park -a newly constructed club less than an hour south of Cincinnati also went under sometime in 2009/2010 before it ever officially opened. Bankruptcy and foreclosure used to seem like an fairly exclusive club.
