Just talked to my brother tonight. Lives just outside of Philly.

IBEW, Local 98, journeyman's card.

Said what is needed for a better tomorrow is this...
***Global healthcare***
***Global regulations, compliance with global laws***
***Global wages***

This is why I don't live in Philly anymore. Just don't understand the drug that is needed to think this way.

Our Founding Fathers were very wise men. They knew that a Republic was the only way to go, limit the federal powers, and let each State be an incubator of ideas. If any citizen of a particular state thought they could better themselves in another state, they moved and got on with their lives.

Where will any of us go once we allow the Federal Gov't to take over what they haven't taken already? If it's all the same everywhere, what's the point in having any state powers?

Wisconsin is heading in the right (correct)direction right now. We were not under Doyle or Thompson. Our time is now to get this fixed. It is almost too late. The taxpayer has been very generous in this state, but now it's time to correct the errors of the past 29+ years.

By the way, I'm a union man who works in the private sector.

By the way . . . I laughed my ass off last night. One of the democratic legislators hanging out at the resort in Illinois said something to the effect that they were being asked to vote on this 144 page bill too fast without time to review it.

I . . of course . . am young enough to recall a time when the Obama administration and the democratic congress tendered a 2,000+ page bill in the wee hours of the night and wanted to vote a couple hours later . . with their leader explaining . . "we need to pass it to know what's in it".

Fortunately now most states have files suit, refused to enforce it, the courts have declared it unconstitutional and the people of the USA have summarily rejected it.

The dems hid out in Illinois have have a month to read the 144 page bill. Rocco will post it and I'll see how long it takes me to print read, review and makes notes.

Without reading a word of it . . . I'm certain that public employees belonging to unions is pure silliness and I'm also a bit concerned that the Communist Party of America seems to be so aligned with the Wisconsin Democrats.

The CPUSA endorsed Bill Clinton, but Hillary asked them not to so publicly endorse her. Barack's minions ( czrs & "aides" ) are frequent speakers at CPUSA meetings. Some speeches are on Youtube. CPUSA is a big fan of this admin.

International support for the "union forces" is not coming from freedom of Democracy groups. More the groups that supported Stalin.

I'm waiting to hear exactly what issues Rocket has with this bill. I have no doubt that he will post it right up and explain why it's bad news in clear terms. He's all about the dialog and would never do a hit an run type of post.

Yep Pwnzor, that's what it was. Actually I would love for Rocket to actually engage in a dialog.

On a more serious note, it's worth seeing who is backing these protests and what their agenda really is. It has nothing to do with what the US has been for over 2 centuries. It is about a revolution to overthrow our current system. Don't believe me, believe them...

Holy crap . . . a restaurant where the cook has to cook what a person orders when they order it.

This is far worse than I could have imagined.

These people are idiots.

Somehow I think this kid, this union wannabe, is above his level of competency working at "Noodles".

More, doubtless, fine Wisconsin dining.

It's funny that there is absolutely nothing in this world that would ever stop them from pooling their resources and starting their own "socialist" run noodle store, except of course the harsh realities of running a business. Why do they think that they should have the right to tell the owner how to cook the noodles?

I was in Wisconsin about 3 weeks ago. I got some excellent cheese and summer sausage, really delightful stuff.

I noticed the socialist/communist kid was more than happy to take his money for his magazine.

"We only like capitalism when WE do it."

So many people with meaningless lives seeking some sort of meaning. Waste of f'ing protein.

Thanks Rocco. I read the bill. HERE it is.

You were right.

The teachers and the teachers unions are being whining, self-centered spoiled assholes as they continue to break the law.

The bill makes a great deal of sense and my compliments to your Governor for finally, after so many have paid so much lip service, for having guts enough to lead.

Easy to see why the cooks in restaurants don't want to be told what to cook and when . . . "by the man".

Someone needs to slap some sense into these stupid bastards.

Or sent his mistress & baby to live with a married staffer, while that staffer claimed it was his..

Ratfink, I agree that the class envy aspects of this are the work of evil men seeking power. A distraction from the real issue.

The government has become so large that they are running out of other peoples money. ( thank you M. Thatcher ) The establishment of a nanny state, and the entitlement mentality are only part of it.

The vast bulk of money borrowed and taxed does go to social programs, and they never seem to solve the problems. They even advertise for more people to "help" when budget time comes near, because budgets always go up, when you always spend more money. ( do your job with less money, and next year you get less. That's no way to get a raise for managing more people! )

But the folk on the dole, are not the real and intractable problem. ( that is solvable, not painlessly or easily... ) It's the vast number of government workers chained to the yoke of the socialized state.

Eventually you run out of people who want to work for a living and improve reality who are all you have left to tax to pay for it all.

We've already done that, not run out of productive hard working folk, ( including the teachers....) but spent more than they had.

$140,000 per person in the hole. $44 trillion dollars that is not there.

And millions of govt. workers that either have to go find non existent real jobs, or riot in the streets since they are the real ones on the dole.

It may be insolvable. I have not yet an opinion of this bill, but I have a firm opinion of the paid, fooled, and evil guys protesting it.

There are people in the public eye that I do not agree much with, and would dismiss....except that their detractors hate them with such venom, spew lies with such rage, that I know those haters are NOT right, especially when they try and push my buttons in such an obvious ( to me ) manipulating way. This Governor, Regan, Palin, so many others. It gives one pause.

Actually Aesquire, each one of us owe over 200K because the total debt is now over $65,000,000,000,000...over 65 TRILLION!

That is just right at this moment. If we had no more births, no more immigration, and started paying ALL THE ENTITLEMENTS that will be due someday to those currently standing, it's over 65 trillion at this point in time.

the website that Ratfink posted has some good points of view.

It does. Just a few. It is also very wrong on many points. Limiting the discussion to the teachers union argument, they make the case that this is only part of the problem so we should ignore it. That argument gets made for each piece of the problem when it gets examined. The problems never get fixed that way.

He further gets lost claiming that the argument is about class warfare against the teachers. It isn't at all. It's about paying fair compensation for the work being done. Private schools do much better with much less, clearly there's an imbalance going on that should be corrected. The correction being proposed is a very small correction too. The author is just fine with class warfare when it's against the rich in the free market, making the claim that they do so "scraping profits off the backs of the public". This shows clear dishonest (or plain ignorance) about how the system works.

He is absolutely wrong that a school can't work on a profit basis. That's not the topic at hand, but he's still wrong. When the profits are tied to results you will provide quality education or go out of business. The current system is so far from having concern about results that they fight tooth and nail against having any testing that will allow us to see results to even answer any questions about the quality of what we are paying for.

Clearly the author is in favor of socialism. It would be refreshing to be honest about that. He lacks the balls to be up front about that though. But he does touch on a couple of good points, like this is just the tip of the iceberg.

That video was great! LOL, Mr. Smartypants, who knows how the world should run, works at Noodles! LOL! (Yes, I also noticed Ph.D Phil, the Madison Area Tech College dean, and editor of the Communist Manifesto.)

I also heard Ben from West Bend introduce himself and his group. Wow, there is actually a "Radical Community Space", aka "dirty socialist hippy hangout" right in my town (which they call a "dull, repressive town")! I looked up their website, and guess what they stand for: "We want to see a community where the voices of those who have been silenced can rise and be heard over the power of capitalism and we want to provide a platform for all of those voices to speak."

Can't they get it thru their thick skulls that Star Trek was a MOVIE??? There are no holodeck's.

If this keeps up,.. the only way it will turn around is if there is another world war. And if that happens... people will come to thier senses. Hopefully.
