With the approaching riding season upon us--for those of us who have seasons--be careful out there, folks. The excitement of getting back in the saddle is sometimes overwhelming, especially for me as it's my second season with ~14k miles under my belt so far, so don't forget your defensive riding skills no matter how honed and grayed your riding attributes are.

Going along the lines of this video, has anyone mounted a GoPro HD HERO to the top of their airbox cover on an XB/1125 using the suction cup mount? I have a feeling I'll be getting one soon ...

bluetooth to a cell phone might be a better option, at least then you could call the police. That guy was lucky he even saw that much at night, daytime would have been a different situation.

Also these cameras are not great on the twin engines, they vibrate a damn lot. The suction cup will help but I do not think it will hold well on an XB air cleaner cover, too many curves to get a grip. I tried and could never find a good place for it on my 03 9R.

You were lucky that clown didn't try to hit you again when you got in front of him. Ever get a cop there? After that you should have.

I would mount it to your helmet, that way it can see what you do, and its isolated from the motor vibrations.

I find the road vibrations more of a nuisance than bike vibes.

GoPro suction cup works well on airbox cover. Clean then wet the area with H20 for a good grip.

skip to :27 & 1:10 for airbox mounts.

Either way, that could have gotten ugly quite easily. Whomever it was had all the evidence they needed to prove their side. Not sure I'd have been as polite in the requests to pull over.
