Shervin is my ultimate hero.
Those stupid Japanese engineers with their fancy degrees didn't understand that the ninja frame needed two huge holes to allow for the air intake!

I actually thought this 250 guy was joking until I saw him welding with the dog watching 4 feet away.
It's so weird that some dim-bulbs feel the urgent need to share in detail all of the many dumb things they've done.

Before the internet, this guy and ShervinRR and all would have been just stories to be told at bars. Now we have photographic proof that these stories are based on reality.

I have read a thread of a shop (in Spain I think) rebuilding ans "souping up" an eclipse. The shop had popped the head off and FILED RANDOM GROOVES into the combustion chamber among other bad idiotic things.

I'll try to find it but it was EPIC!
Almost on the same level as ShervinRR.

Found it pretty easily actually.

Caution: it's very long thread and will take your day away as you watch this slow-motion trainwreck!

Here is the cliffs-notes version:

It actually started and ran after being reassembled! They drove it under its own power to the dyno and it survived two runs I think.

There are videos : )

The grooves are a copy of something a guy in India??? is doing, claiming all sorts of improvements in power and efficiency.

Great laugh. Thanks.

It did get a lot of traffic on the site though. I can only hope that was the goal.
