Strange weather to end the year! Now, not anything like the NY blizzard, but strange just the same.

Yesterday, 12/30, it was about 55 at 6 a.m. and topped out at 71. About got blown off the highway by the south breeze, but rode the Uly to work, none the less. It was about 50 when I arrived home from the Y at 7 p.m., and the wind had shifted to the north.

Awoke at 4:15 a.m. to a thunderstorm, freezing rain, and sleet showers. Accumulated about a 1/2 inch of ice pellets. Much better than a slimy ice layer, anyway. It was in the high twenties this morning and falling all day to single digits tonight.

At least we didn't have tornadoes as Arkansas did. Prayers go out to those negatively affected by the weird weather.

Anyway, just had to share the weirdness. A safe New Years Eve to you all!

We had back to back mornings in the teens..water pipes split (plumbers having a field day), yesterday was 50 in the morning and 70 in the evening...this morning it was 65...and made it to 75...tomorrow it is supposed to be 65 in the morning and up to 78 by mid day.

Tomorrow is my birthday and myself and a handful of friends are going to shred some rubber for a good start to the new year.

Gotta wear 'em here too due to the sun reflecting off the snow.

Hey Al, is the air still that weird brown color there?

We had a tornado hit us on FT Leonard Wood, wiped out a crap ton of housing... Last day of 2010 was awful here.

"Hey Al, is the air still that weird brown color there?"

Actually, it's been really clear out for quite some time. From the job site where I've been working for a few weeks you can see the mountains (covered with snow) that are about 40 miles off.

Bummer about that tornado - prayers out to those effected.

Al
