Of course I believe in first amendment rights, and of course 3rd, but being forced to obey rules in school is not a form of free speech repression. You are there to learn not make statements in the first place. And second how can any reasonable adult argue that an I love boobies bracelet will not distract hormone crazed teenagers? Plus schools no longer have the right to make rules? Or enforce them? This whole case was never about breast cancer. I find this a total liberal wack job joke and a total waste of my tax money.. | ||

This goes right along with the case in San Jose California where the Mexican kids were allowed to wear Mexican flags but White kids weren't allowed to wear an American Flag. ACLU = Ass-hat Collaborator Lawsuit Union | ||

Perhaps the ACLU takes things a bit too far from time to time. Who's to say? I will say this. With the size of the government these days, the potential for orwellian outcomes from small situations can not be overlooked. The complacency among american conservatives is shocking at best. The ACLU was once a shield against tyranny, some in the ACLU still have that goal. It was taken over by leftists ( both consciously evil and useful idiots ) quite a while ago, hence the anti Christian, anti American, anti Capitalist bent in the last few decades. Pity. Complacency among American Conservatives you say? Hardly. It is our job, our goal, our duty, to pare this Wonderful Government back down to its Constitutional Limits. Complacency? Hardly. For the first time in memory, ordinary Americans question the growing Tyranny by the seizure of power by the Unconstitutional Fourth Branch of Government known as the Bureaucracy. For the first time in memory, ordinary Americans ponder the concept of Secession seriously. Texas, Lousiana, and Mississippi CAN survive without the Tyrannical yoke emanating from Washington. It is 1773 in America again, friend. Are you on the side of the King or that of Liberty? It is time for you to ponder these questions. Complacent? Hardly. The Leftist ideology is an anathema to American thought. It is Tyranny, Chains, Division, Class Warfare, Racial Warfare, Mooching, and outright Theft. All in the name of Fairness. I have been screaming at the top of my lungs since the first day I logged in here that we were heading down a very dangerous path. Complacency? Hardly. The ACLU is an instrument of creation and increase in tyranny. They once worked to prevent this. No longer. The ACLU seeks to reduce liberty in the name of preserving/increasing it. Occasionally, they will throw a bone and actually do something beneficial, but it's a rare occurrence. | ||

If the ACLU were truly a champion of civil liberties, why is they are not staunch defenders of the second amendment? They will defend the crucifix in a bottle of urine under "free speech" yet remain silent on something as basic as my right to defend myself from an intruder or a tyrannical gov't. | ||
