Duh

Tough to believe anyone ever thought the Constitution of the United States of America confer, upon government, the right to make citizens BUY something.

Ludicrous from the outset.

It'll get kicked up to the Supreme Court. Hopefully it's 5/4 against.

It would be 9/0 against if we had honest judges.

CNSNews.com: “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?

Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you serious?"

CNSNews.com: “Yes, yes I am."

Pelosi then shook her head before taking a question from another reporter. Her press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, then told CNSNews.com that asking the speaker of the House where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandated that individual Americans buy health insurance as not a "serious question."

“You can put this on the record,” said Elshami. “That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.”

I cheered when I heard it on the news Monday evening, my wife looked at me funny, she just didn't know what I was watching.

I am also worried about how the Supreme Court will rule on this one.

The White House Spokesman seemed a little confused, as if he didn't understand why someone thought the whole health care mandate was wrong. Seems both a great victory, and yet only a small step at the same time.

Yes, we're serious. Show me in the Constitution where where it says the US government can bail out private companies, mandate private health insurance, etc.

What is so hard to understand about "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Obviously, they didn't read it "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor
prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to
the people.?

The SCOTUS was NEVER intended to be the forward projection of political conquest.

We shouldn't have to worry about the decision of the Supreme Court from a political standpoint. It shouldn't matter who appoints the judges.

We have created a nine person oligarchy. We have thrown off a monarch and replaced it with nine monarchs both with lifetime appointments.
