None of these folks have ANY special training.

These are rent-a-cops.


I can attest to that. Recently flew to the west coast, ran into a TSA security guard I went to high school with. To put it nicely, he wasn't college material. I was surprised to see him outside of county lockdown let alone in a position of authority.

Cool shirt though, I see this as a growing trend.

Don't mean to lump all TSA guards into the same group, but the hiring standards aren't set very high. Definitely a step down for a former police officer.

I plan to go to Vegas in February. First tiem I've flown since 9/11. I used to travel on business all the time but don't miss it. I WILL have one of those shirts under my clothes.

Very few people actually get selected to go into the xray machine. Even fewer get the pat down.

Remember, TSA has armed and unarmed personnel.

A LOT of the unarmed ones manning the security areas meet the stereotype to a T....

Last time I flew was in one of Chrysler's Gulf Streams. Prior to 9/11. I don't know if Chry still has them.
