Try Bumpus HD Buell. They had the Buell summer gloves in gray color, I have a pair and love them, they have a thread floating here somewhere.....Candy store open or something like it. | ||

I wore out a pair of Alpinestar S-MX2 air carbon gloves over the course of two summers. Mrs. Santa was told to be bring me a new pair. Well vented plus with carbon fiber knuckles. They have a few colors and can be had for 60 bucks or so. | ||

I have a set of Icon Tarmac 3 gloves, good protection plus vented, I like them alot. | ||

I used my Aerostich Elkskin Roper gloves from early Spring until this past weekend. Switching now to my Olympia winter gauntlets. | ||

Personally, I don't think knuckle protection is all that important unless you're planning on getting into a fistfight with them. Think about when you fall... how do you instinctively place your hands? Palms out, fingers open, or in a closed fist? I know what the answer is for me. | ||

I'll start by stating,"I wear stretchy cloth back, leather palm gloves, without knuckle protection". Now; Where you put your fingers, hands, arms, etc. has nothing much to do with where the pavement is going to locate them during your slide/tumble across it. We have to each pick the risk level we are comfortable with. So, far we are still choosing to ride. | ||

For summer gloves, I like the knuckle guards with the built-in air scoops. I don't personally OWN a pair, but it at least puts them to a useful purpose. | ||

i tried on a pair of motoboss gloves at cyclegear last night after reading this. they are sized WAY small i had on a size XXXL and wanted a little more space...my timax from Icon are XL and are super close to right. seemed like a decent pair of gloves def not track worthy though | ||

I've got a pair of FirstGear mesh gloves. They don't appear to be made anymore (the Kilimanjaro Air Gloves appear to be the closest thing they make now), but they featured a leather palm, nylon mesh back with hardshell plastic knuckle guards (molded to look like CF). Yeah, that last bit was a little tacky and (to their credit) I see FirstGear doesn't do that anymore. Anyway, I hardly wear them anymore because (as I stated earlier) I pretty much wear my Elkskin Roper gloves all the time except in the winter and on the track. | ||

I ride Alpinestars Gp-Pro full gauntlet gloves. They are fully leather with kevlar reinforcements. I just ordered my second pair. It took me close to 6 years to wear out the last pair. They were cool enough to ride AZ summers in. They have all the knuckle protection stuff, which doesnt hurt having just in-case, but also the knuckles are vent scoops for the tops of your hands. They are pricey, but you they are good gloves. |
