I have gotten a job offer from Tuscon Harley/Buell, trying to figure out what I want to do.

Is their stuff to do?
What part of town should I not look for a house in?
No kids, dont care about schools.
I dont know, I just need more information.

I go to UA in tucson, and its not bad, the roads are CRAP due to now drainage system in alot of city streets (in downtown anyway)...the nicest place to live would be in Oro valley, no question about that.

There is ALOT of good riding in the area...especially Mt. Lemmon, its 25miles of beautiful mountain twistes with maybe a total of 1/2 mile of straight road lol...

all in all beside the roads, i prefer tucson to phoenix, if you come down we'll have to go ridin!!

The parts of town you do not want to live in are generally pretty obvious as you drive through them.

Tucson is located fairly close to a number of entertainment options, with good places to ride in our back yard.
If you get a job at HD of Tucson, you will want to look at the north west side of town. That is where Oro valley is located but traffic from Oro valley SUCKS during rush hour.
My only real complaint living in Tucson is that it is growing too much.

I have not kept up on rent prices since I bought my house several years ago, but a garage and a fenced yard for $700 is probably not going to happen.
As far as places to avoid, you probably dont want to live in South Tucson. The different parts of town all have their own "personality" with little pockets of questionable areas located randomly. The northwest side of town is the fastest growing, and has some nice areas, but I dont know it well enough to tell you which spots to avoid. One thing you could consider is getting an apartment month to month(or on a short lease) to use as a temporary home while you get a feel for the area and find something that suits you.
HD of Tucson is located at Ina and Interstate 10. Check out a map of the surrounding areas. One thing you will want to try to avoid is a cross town commute.
