What muddles the picture is when you look at someone like Anne Heche. Awhile back, she said something to the effect of "I'm not a lesbian anymore." That's why in my above post, I said "for the most part." It looks like Ms. Heche wanted to try it for awhile. Such an odd creature she is.  | ||

Time to stop cutting bait here. My real point here is that there is no such thing as an honest discussion about homosexuality. Of course there are many that choose that lifestyle. That's been well documented. I can only assume that some also have a condition that makes them that way. Denial of truth is never an avenue to honest discussion though. | ||

It exists, it happens, it will continue to happen... some gay people live a productive happy life... some gay people end up blowing their brains out from all the oppresion they endure... some get beaten to death by ignorant bigots... some are very successful people... I have a sick way of hoping gays are allowed in. Since the military doesn't want use having sex, we should get individual showers and barracks rooms. If you have lived in a single room with 75 people, sharing 12 shower heads, 3 pissers and 3 shiters and 5 sinks, then you would understand my excitement. | ||

BTW Whatever, I don't dispute that the experts at this time consider to not be a mental disorder. That doesn't mean that it isn't a physical disorder. Or we can just say it is what it is, and not worry about the teens that are so f---ed up that they kill themselves over it. | ||

Yes, you can choose your preference, but you can also choose something other than your preference - that action does not change your preference. I happen to be really attracted to girls with English, Irish and Australian accents. Is that normal? I doubt it, but likely more common than one could call "rare". Is that a disorder? Did I make the active choice to prefer this trait? No. I just do. You hear, see, smell or touch something and it's either, "I like that" or you don't. There's no decision. The only decision is whether you seek it out, act on your preference. Why is that if it's not a choice you automatically assume it must be a disorder? It's just what someone is attracted to. I have a friend who's attracted older, blonde, tall women. He thinks his girlfriend is the hottest thing to ever walk on two legs. I wouldn't let someone pay me to see her naked. Are either of us diseased? In need of a cure? Are you seriously this obtuse? To be fair, in a discussion such as this, I don't really expect to change anyone's mind. Why the personal attack, calling me obtuse? Have I made any personal attacks in this discussion? I get the same sort of response from Whatever. Am I making the claim that it's a disorder? I've tried to settle into calling it a condition. It's a condition that seems to cause very serious problems for those who have this condition. That can't be said for the condition of blue eyes. I used to get into fights all the time. I never dated until my senior year in highschool. Rumor around school was I was gay. So I found who was spreading the rumor and went toe to toe with em, and his friends, one by one until the rumor ended. 25 years later, still not married, still not gay. I just dont trust much. | ||

If they were not guilt ridden about being gay why would they commit suicide. When I'm called a breeder by my neices gay girl friend I just laugh. She has the opinion that gays are smarter. Really well they seemed to have flunked sex ed and biology. I do not care about what gays do in private none of my business. But they are so warped they want validation from the rest of us. If you were not doing something wrong why would you feel the need for validation. Gay is not being special if gays want to be left alone get out of the spotlight. Having to pass a gay opinion litmus test to do any thing in this country is wrong, evil and just plain stupid. Gays are no longer victims they act like the thought police. Quick translation dont start none if you dont want none. Gay marriage is just practice development for trial lawyers. With fewer marriages and a shrinking population they face reduction in income. The days of worrying if we offend a warped population are over. Jr,high is over time to grow up and be responsible for your own feelings. If you feel bad about what your doing may be a great idea to stop the behavior. Tormenting the rest of the population to make your self feel better will no longer be tolerated. Gay Pride - Chicago - 2009 Some good friends play in a '70s disco band, that gets hired every year for the gay pride event in Chicago. This is a permitted event on a public street where families may be walking down the street totally unrelated to the gay pride event. So they are up on stage playing YMCA, etc. when some guys decide to strip down and hop up on stage and start masturbating. This is in full view of many of Chicago's "finest money can buy". The cops did nothing about this behavior at all. Lead guitarist actually kicked them off the stage. At least they had to finish their masturbation at street level. I know it will be defended as not all gays are like that, it's a tiny fraction. The fact is that they were being cheered on by the crowd. If this is really how they are going to represent themselves then I really don't understand the surprise when society doesn't accept them. | ||

here is a question... I am not forcing them to like the fact that I am strait in fact I could care less if you like the fact that I like women. Also strait people do not make there sexual preference who they are are what they are about...why do gay people? Would that equally offend you, Sifo? If it was of similar circumstances where it's on public property with no control over who sees it, I would absolutely be offended by that. It is not appropriate. I do not doubt it happened. I am not defending masturbation in public. I think people should AT LEAST be arrested under public disturbance laws or disturbing the peace laws and I am sure there are plenty of other laws that would apply. I wonder if the cops watching it might have been enjoying it, bc, even here in hippie-town the that I live in, the guy would have been arrested. I would imagine they were under orders to ignore things that would normally be considered indecent, and only take action to protect life & property. This is one of the problems of bending over backwards to show "tolerance" of those that are pushing to show that you are not tolerant. On any other given day the offenders would have found themselves being hauled off. BTW, this year at the pride event they had close to $10K of gear stolen while they were packing up. First time they ever have had any gear stolen at a gig. | ||

Gays in the military. I have a Vietnam Veteran living next door, he is gay, he is old, he can do Whatever he wants, he earned it. How he settles up with God, well I just hope that someday..... Anyways, we were standing out in the front yard this afternoon talking about the neighborhood and he mentioned that the neighbor on the other side of me had a partner also, I asked, you mean to tell me **** is gay also? He smiles and in his best faggy voice he says "goodness yes darling" It was a very funny moment. Reminded me of my brother-in-law. Very liberal, blindly follows his union, etc. He was all for open lifestyles right up to the day that his 6 year old son asked why the neighbor was dressed as a woman. Sure enough Mr. Light-in-the-loafers was getting a sex change! They put their house up for sale and moved ASAP. He's still as liberal as ever.
